Customer Review Summary
Special fried rice is the dish reviewers raise most, and opinion on it splits. One diner found it tasty and hot alongside salt and pepper spare ribs and mixed vegetables with cashew nuts, and another liked it with duck in plum sauce, calling it nice with plenty of ingredients. Others say it has slipped since the place reopened, with less protein and mushy rice, while egg fried rice was described as hard and not properly cooked. Fried items draw the most complaints: salt and pepper prawns with mushy, uncooked batter, tough salt and pepper chicken, chicken balls with an awful chicken texture, and onion rings likened to a donut. One diner says the duck chow mein smelled funny and the duck wasn't fresh. A few regulars still call the food always great, and one notes friendly staff. One reviewer who found everything burnt, overcooked or reheated offered to take it back for the business to try, and another says the free prawn crackers promised on larger orders never arrived, on two occasions.

“Used this Takeaway service for a while, tonight’s order consisted of: Prawn crackers Salt n pepper spare ribs Special fried rice Mixed vegetables with cashew nuts Chips Normal curry sauce Extra hot curry sauce The order was delivered in the time frame as advised and all the dishes were tasty and hot. We can’t fault this takeaway and recommend.”

“Always great food. Been frequent visitor for over 4 years. Photos speak for themselves.”

“I got a delivery of beef curry and chips, and a portion of onion rings, the beef curry was ok and the chips were ok (both no more than ok) The onion rings were absolutely disgusting, big thick batter that looked more like a donut than an onion ring, absolutely awful 🤢. First time ordering, but definitely won't be ordering again, as I imagine any ingredient that is cooked in batter will be just like the onion rings. I wouldn't recommend any dishes.”

“Got chicken fried rice and deep fried chicken balls. Unfortunately both were poor. Rice wasn't tasty. The texture of the chicken in the chicken balls was awful and didn't feel edible. Partner thought the same. Shame because the batter was nice. Didn't manage to eat much, left nearly all the chicken balls.”

“Extremely disappointing inedible everything burnt & overcooked or reheated and dry, over £30 spent offered to take it all bk for them to see and try it themselves safe to say this will not be a place in which I waste my money ever again”
