About The Inns
The Inns, a pub and restaurant on Main Street in Lanark, provides a step-free, wheelchair-accessible entrance for visitors with mobility needs. Its back patio offers outdoor seating for guests who prefer dining al fresco, and a takeaway service lets customers enjoy the menu off site. Breakfast is prepared each morning and can be enjoyed in the dining area or taken to go, while the kitchen maintains a fast service pace. Reservations are recommended, and the venue welcomes guests from Tuesday through Sunday, remaining closed on Mondays. The bar serves a selection of drinks alongside the food offerings.

Customer Review Summary
The breakfast draws most attention, with several reviewers noting a quick, warm start served with a smile and praising the consistently reasonable prices, especially the Sunday breakfast that “always tastes great.” Close behind are the well-chilled beer selection and the friendly, welcoming staff who create a relaxed atmosphere for both locals and visitors. A few diners point out flaws: one reviewer describes a burnt pastry on a steak pie, the filling as overly salty, and the mac and cheese sauce as split. Another suggests adding low level lighting to soften the harsh overhead bulbs. A recurring highlight is the pool table, where a reviewer recalls spending an evening chatting with locals while enjoying a pint.

“Open early (9) for breakfast and throughout dinner time, sit in or takeaway, great value for money. Pub classics and fast food, homemade soups. A favourite of the community.”

“This was disappointing. I had steak pie and the pastry was burnt, there was lots of steak but unfortunately too salty to eat. The sauce on the mac and cheese had split. Not sure what the issue was this time as we've had a few meals here and they've always been really good”

“Had breakfast there one morning and then dinner and a few beers. Spent most of the night on the pool table and chatting to the local characters. Food was excellent, beer nice and chilled, staff and locals nice people. A GREAT NIGHT.”
