Customer Review Summary

Praise centers on succulent, well-portioned chicken, with several reviewers saying the food arrives piping hot and tasty and one calling it the best by miles. A vegetarian Yuk Sung was made on request even though it is not on the menu. The reviews are sharply split, though, and the negatives are specific. Chow mein draws the most complaints, described as drenched in oil, greasy and overcooked. Others report sauces thickened to a paste or jelly, a curry sauce that tasted synthetic, burnt spring rolls, reheated sweet and sour chicken balls, and a beef curry with thick lumps that tasted strongly of celery. One reviewer reports feeling sick from too much MSG, and another says the family had bad tummies afterwards. Two describe orders ready later than promised, and one waited at an unattended counter without acknowledgement before staff began cooking.

“A great Chinese! They made me a vegetarian Yuk Sung even though they don’t offer it on the menu which was very nice of them. The food was excellent and for a good price. I would definitely recommend.”

“I am extremely disappointed with the service I received. I phoned in an order and was advised it would be ready in 45 minutes. I arrived to collect exactly 45 minutes later, yet no one was at the front counter and I was left waiting for around 10 minutes without acknowledgement. When a member of staff eventually came to the front, he looked at me but chose to answer a ringing phone before addressing me. After finishing the call, he picked up a pen and pad and looked at me as though I was placing a new order. I explained that I had ordered 45 minutes earlier and had been told it would be ready. Without any apology or explanation, he simply walked into the back and appeared to begin cooking. The complete lack of communication, acknowledgement and basic courtesy made this a very frustrating experience. I understand that businesses can be busy, but professionalism and simple customer service standards should still apply. Based on this experience, I would not recommend ordering from here. They do not deserve your hard earned money! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!”

“This place the food has deteriorated so much, last time i will ever go there. I have purchased food over many, many years was always v.good, freshly cooked, good portions etc, no more>>>> Chow mein was slop one small piece of spring onion, tasted so greasy, way over cooked, chips frozen you could taste the cheap oil and old oil, sweet & sour chicken balls re-heated, spring rolls tasted off 2 were burnt, curry sauce use to be one of the best, now just synthetic taste, we actually binned it, that is how bad it was>>>>>> It is so sad to write this review and I do not normally do reviews. When your treating your family to a take away & it is really bad bad, not just one item. It is an insult to serve such utter garbage.”
