Customer Review Summary
Most reviewers come for generous, well-made food, with the set menu for two singled out as plenty of quality food that can be customised, and a lunchtime two-course deal described as tasty and well presented. Named dishes include Wondering Dragon, beef curry and stir fried mushrooms, all called delicious, while another diner notes large portions and sharing one portion of noodles between two. Friendly, attentive table staff come up repeatedly. One reviewer praises the modern, cosmopolitan feel over the usual red dragons, though another finds it a little bland with no real Chinese atmosphere. The recurring complaint is takeaway trade crowding the dining room. Two reviewers describe queues of people ordering takeaway around eat-in tables and long waits for food. One left after two hours with only starters, having been charged full price for the starter despite a set menu and never offered a drink. The other found the starters dry and basic, though staff apologised for the wait. One reviewer notes that uneaten food can be taken away for later.

“Excellent meal. So nice to have a modern vibe and cosmopolitan atmosphere as opposed to the usual red dragons etc. Portion size was large. Glad we decided to only order one portion of noodles between two.”

“Nice restaurant, albeit a little bland, no real 'chinese atmosphere'. Food was lovely, fresh and hot, and plenty of it. Staff attentive. I felt it was a bit hefty at over £100 for 2 people, and we didn't have alot. Would return though.”

“Went for dinner at 6pm on a Saturday. We had booked, but there were a few spare tables..it was certainly busy. Quality of food was generally good. Service was very good. Table staff were friendly and attentive, but not too overpowering.”

“After 2 hours and only having starters we decided enough was enough and left, the restaurant was neglected for takeaways which is such a shame. The food we did have was very nice would've loved to actually have some dinner. The atmosphere was horrendous as we was sat in the restaurant with people queuing to order takeaway all around our table. Even though we had a set menu we was charged full price for the starter and no offer of a drink to keep us going whilst we waited for food customer service was non existent. They should either concentrate on takeaway and close the restaurant or do what they used to be good at and run the restaurant properly.”

“Not sure what all the fuss is about? It’s not the best Chinese restaurant by a long way. All the food we had was very basic. The starters were all very dry and the mains were nothing special. A bit annoying how packed the place was with people waiting for takeout. The “eat in” customers were left waiting for ages to be served their food though the staff did apologise for the wait. Don’t think I’d go back.”
