  “Had a fabulous evening, amazing food, atmosphere and service. The staff were friendly, attentive and polite. The owner went above and beyond to cater for my gluten allergy to ensure there was no cross contamination. They even have gluten free naan bread. We’ll definitely be recommending to family and friends and we’ll visit again soon. Highly recommend for the variety of gluten free options and as a celiac.”

  “Before I get onto the amazing food and ambience. One of my huge issues with the foodservice industry in the UK is service (or lack of it). WELL, the service here was nothing short of phenomenal. Honestly right up there with the best I’ve received anywhere in the world. There is so much attention to detail across the whole dining experience and the place is super slick. Every single dish that we ordered (and we ordered alot!!) was exceptional. Quality meats that were cooked to perfection, and really clean and not swimming in ghee. Thank you to all of the team for making us so welcome. Unfortunately I’m rarely in Kettering but next time I am, I will be back, without question.”

  “The staff were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the hype. The mixed grill was quite bland, and the lamb tikka was extremely chewy and difficult to eat. The salmon tikka starter was also very dry and lacked the succulence you would expect. I mentioned to a member of staff that the lamb tikka was very dry, but unfortunately, no feedback or response was provided. Overall, the service was pleasant, but the quality of the food was disappointing and did not meet expectations.”

  “Visited The Raj a couple of weeks ago with work. Had a brilliant experience and it’s very rare these days that the service matches the food and both were impeccable. We weren’t sure about what to choose from the menu, so we were asked our likes and dislikes and then dishes were cooked to our personal tastes. Just wow.”

  “We booked this place for a date night, upon walking through the front door we were ushered to the bar immediately as our table wasn't ready yet even though we were the second couple there? Being sheparded to the bar was really unusual as we've never experienced that before which made the whole interaction slightly awkward. Afterwards we were finally seated and ordered. The variety of food was very good and we liked that they had a healthy section on the menu and one for intolerances which is handy for people who need these. The pompadons were very good however these are just pompadons so don't get too excited. The meat platter as a starter was decent, the presentation and service was flashy for thos who care for theatrics, but for the price there wasn't much on the plate, the flavours were also nothing too outstanding very reminiscent of a high street Indian takeaway. The mains were delicious and very filling and the wine is top notch. The hygiene in the place is great, they wipe the table after each meal and give warm hand towels at the end, may be a little too much pampering for some people but my lady enjoyed it. The decor inside is a lot nicer than the outside makes it appear, however the atmosphere we found to be a little too stuffy. The suits on the staff and their demeanour is very formal/theatrical, which is good if thats the vibe they want to go for, but we found it a little overbearing for a casual date night.”

  “We enjoyed our dinner for sure and end up too much, takeaway and heat up the next couple of days and for some reason curry always taste better overnight and the spices just got the “oom”, I think still need a little bit more salt, still good flavour though 🙏”
