About The Wainwright Pub
On The Wainwright in Keswick, The Wainwright Pub is a small pub and restaurant where walkers stop in after a day on the fells. The bar pours a range of cask ales, and the kitchen serves classic British pub grub, so a hike can finish with a pint and a meal in the same place. Space is limited, which suits a drink or a bite after the trails. Dogs are welcome, so walkers can bring them inside for the stop.

Customer Review Summary
A Sunday roast with a very generous portion of sliced roast, Yorkshire pudding and roasted potatoes stands out, paired with a hand-pumped Ruby Ale, both called delicious. Another reviewer praises the lunchtime sausage rolls. The steak pie came in a big portion with mash and veg, but one found its flavour short of the online hype. One reviewer objects to the AI-generated artwork around the pub.

“If you can get a seat to plonk down in after a day on the fells, this is just the best walkers pin you'll find a anywhere. Great always and atmosphere, and theosy amazingly preserved Victorian porcelain ware in the gents! And if you're in at lunchtime, the sausage rolls are to die for!”
