Customer Review Summary
Most reviewers return for the curries, with the King Prawn Pathia and the shobzi masalla named as favourites, and one regular who comes nearly weekly says each dish tastes distinct and none has been a miss. Shami kebabs and chapatis arrive piping hot, portions are described as generous, and the vegetarian selection, meal deals and Wednesday deal are called good value. Several praise the friendly service, and the owner is singled out as smiling and approachable. The draught beer also gets a nod. A minority of reviews are sharply critical. One diner found the sheik and mixed kebabs dry and burnt in places, the lamb tough, and the chicken and spinach bland enough to need added salt, with whole spice brought when garam masala was requested. Another found two Chicken Bhunas runny, oily and flavourless on delivery, though the starters were great. The first diner also reports drinks and starters having to be chased and being charged for a chapati that never arrived.

“I’ve been meaning to write a review about this fantastic Indian Restaurant for quite a while now. First and foremost the service is first-class, the owner Ash gives you his personal attention. All curries our cooked specific to your needs, he always does me a tasty King Prawn Pathia. Food is served hot with generous portions ( which seem to be shrinking elsewhere these days). Side dishes and starters are also excellent, with plenty of variety on the menu, this is a place I urge you to visit ( the prices are still reasonable). If you are in the Keighley area or visiting it is a must!!! Also if you like real ale, one of the last remaining Taylor’s pubs in the town centre is just over the road, The Boltmakers. Do visit it for pre or post- curry drinks!!!”

“The Menu is varied and reasonably priced, draught King Fisher is on point. The house red wine was not good at all. The biggest let down was the food, followed closely by the service! It started so good too. The crisp poppadoms were excellent as was the pickle tray. From there it went down hill fast. The Sheik kebabs and mixed kebab were dry, tasteless and overcooked to the point of burnt in places. Accompanied by a limp salad. The Lamb main course was tough, tasteless and lacked taste. The chicken and spinach dish lacked any kind of flavour whatsoever. I added salt, something I never do, to season this very bland dish, I even asked for some garam masala but were brought whole spice. Fresh roti and naan were ok, although I was charged for a chapati it never arrived! We had to keep asking for drinks, remind them they had not brought drinks and remind them to serve starters. The bill was the quickest thing to be served. But for the lovely decor and clean toilets I would have given a one star.”
