Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the welcome and the staff, described as friendly, lovely and welcoming, with one diner saying they had never been made to feel so welcome in any other restaurant. The food draws close behind, called delicious and flavourful, and the named dishes include the Volcano chicken served in a glass box where water is poured in to release smoke, the honey chicken, the king prawn bulgogi with its huge prawns, and spicy prawn and spicy pork soups that came with a lovely kick. A few describe the decor and atmosphere as cozy, and one calls the price more than reasonable. The one critical account came from a takeaway order. That reviewer found the Smoke Corn Chicken overcooked and very sweet, with granulated sugar visible in the dish, and the Special Fried Noodles swamped by strong oyster sauce and an odd taste from the bamboo shoots, so most of both dishes was thrown away, though the staff were still called lovely. Another diner says a partner now rarely orders anything but the king prawn bulgogi.

“We drove up from Dundee to meet friends there, and it turned out to be fantastic! The food was delicious and actually some of the best Asian food I've ever had. the staff were so friendly and had a great sense of humour, and their hospitality was outstanding. I highly recommend this place, and I can't wait to go back! Thanks for a great evening 👍”

“I really wanted to love this spot because the staff were incredibly nice and welcoming, but unfortunately, the food just didn't hit the mark for me. I had takeaway. Smoke Corn Chicken: This was a major disappointment. The chicken strips were overcooked to the point of being hard and almost burnt. Beyond the texture, the flavor was overwhelmingly sweet—it felt like the chicken had been dipped straight into a bag of sugar (see picture with granulated sugar in dish). Special Fried Noodles: "Special" felt like a stretch here. The entire dish was drowned in a very strong oyster sauce that masked almost every other flavor. It came topped with fatty roast pork, deep-fried breaded chicken, beef, and two large king prawns. While the portions were generous, the meats lacked flavour. There was a very strange taste to the bamboo shoots that permeated the entire noodle dish, making it difficult to eat. I threw away nearly all of both dishes. While the service was lovely, the execution of the dishes—from the burnt, sugary chicken to the overpowering sauce and strange-tasting bamboo—means I likely won't be back.”
