Customer Review Summary
Pad Thai is the dish reviewers name most, with one calling the prawn version the standout and another listing it alongside fish cakes and prawns wrapped in pastry. Close behind are the lemon chicken with crispy noodles, the Siam and duck sharers, dim sums, and the basil and chili. Reviewers repeatedly call the food authentic, fresh and flavourful, and several say it is as good as ever after years of visits. Friendly, welcoming staff come up in most reviews, along with quick, efficient service and a quiet Sunday lunch. The decor draws comment too, with bamboo planters, sculptures and a water feature in the centre. One reviewer dissents sharply, calling the food terrible and saying a complaint to a member of the Thai staff was ignored, though they still described the staff as lovely. Another reviewer recalls a staff member walking their young son to the bathroom when he couldn't find the way, and notes that the windows look across fields to Penshaw monument.

“We've been coming here regularly and it never disappoints. The food is genuinely authentic — fresh, flavourful, and exactly what good Thai cooking should taste like. But what really keeps us coming back is the staff. Every visit feels warm and welcoming, especially thanks to Shirley, who always greets us with a smile and makes us feel like regulars in the best way. Highly recommend if you're after great Thai food and even better service.”

“Just got back from this wonderful restaurant, it was a father's day treat from daughter Carol and her husband. The atmosphere was brilliant lots of people enjoying themselves and celebrating. Not too busy just comfortable. The food was devine, as always and reasonable. The staff are the most friendly and professional, always a nice welcome, service is very efficient. It's the kind of place you always want to return to. Can't wait for our next visit.”
