Customer Review Summary
Chips draw the most praise, described as hot, fresh, crispy outside and fluffy inside, with several others calling them lovely or good. The Irish curry sauce comes close behind, with one reviewer returning to how good it is, and others pair the chips with sausages, burgers, and crunchy fish. Generous portions and good value for families come up repeatedly, and the staff are called lovely, quick, and polite. One reviewer found the burgers well made but not quite beefy enough. The fish draws the sharpest complaints. One diner objected that the fish of the day was hake rather than cod or haddock and called it the worst fish they had eaten. Another said the fish tasted like it came from a canal, the sausage resembled a cocktail sausage, and the bread rolls were stale. A third asked for curry sauce and was handed coleslaw. Even so, a large order for ten people arrived complete, and one family of six took leftovers home.

“Absolutely brilliant! For around £30, we had enough food to feed 6 people — and still had loads left over! You honestly can’t complain at that value, especially with the quality of the food. The chips were absolutely gorgeous — hot, fresh, crispy on the outside and fluffy inside — and the curry sauce was amazing. Everything tasted fresh and the portions were incredibly generous. The service was just as impressive. Friendly, welcoming and genuinely lovely people who made the whole experience even better. Fantastic food, amazing value for money, huge portions and brilliant service. It’s becoming rare to find somewhere you can feed a family of six for about £30 and still take leftovers home! Coronation Chippy absolutely smashed it. We’ll definitely be back!”
