Quick info
About The Two Bulls Steakhouse
The Two Bulls Steakhouse is a steak house in Hastings, on High St at number 61C, where the steaks are cooked over charcoal and the desserts are made in house. Ribeye and filet are the main cuts, served with homemade chips and salad. Peppercorn, blue cheese cream and Diane mushroom sauces give diners a choice of finish for the steak. The kitchen also turns out burgers for those who want something other than a cut of beef. Desserts include a toasted peanut banoffee pie, and the draught taps pour craft lager and Magners cider. Dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Steak is the draw for most reviewers, who describe it as cooked perfectly, tender and melt in the mouth, whether a ribeye with Diane mushrooms on the side, a filet whose rub and seasoning enhanced the flavour, or a medium rare cut with blue cheese cream sauce. Some travel from London or two hours away for it. Close behind is the burger, called one of the best several have had, and the homemade chips also earn praise. Among desserts, the toasted peanut banoffee pie comes up repeatedly, alongside key lime pie, and one reviewer recommends the calamari as a crispy starter. Service is described as friendly, quick and welcoming, and several call the prices reasonable. Criticism is minor and specific. One parent found the kids menu lacking in options, with no garlic bread, and another reviewer wanted a better cider than Magners. One party without a booking was given the last available table, and another was chased down by a staff member to say a table had come free.

“Me and my husband came in over the bank holiday for a couple of steak and they were absolutely delicious! Steaks were cooked perfectly and the homemade chips were stunning. My husband especially enjoyed the graft lager. Would absolutely recommend really lovely and friendly service.”

“We had a great dining experience. The food was excellent, especially the steak, which was cooked perfectly. The burger was also outstanding—definitely one of the best we've had. For starters, I highly recommend the calamari. It was crispy, flavourful, and a perfect way to begin the meal. The service was just as impressive. The staff member who looked after us was friendly, attentive, and very helpful throughout our visit. She checked on us regularly to make sure everything was okay and even anticipated what we might need before we had to ask. She also happened to resemble Adele, which was a fun little detail that made the experience even more memorable. The restaurant is easy to find and has a lovely interior with a welcoming atmosphere. Overall, it was a fantastic experience with delicious food, excellent service, and a great setting. I would definitely recommend it and look forward to coming back.”

“Been here a few times and it was always OK. However, something has changed .... had the filet steak and the rub / seasoning absolutely enhanced the flavour. Tender meat, tasted meaty and along with the spinach was absolutely top notch. Fantastic service, but it needs better cider than Magners!! Very reasonable price and will be going back.”

“Amazing food here. The burgers are amazing and the steaks. The kids menu is lacking a little bit in options and no garlic bread but overall amazing food and amazing staff who made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in, to the moment we left. Will definitely be visiting again when in Hastings.”

“Lovely spot for a beer and a bit of lunch today. Fantastic burger, seriously one of the best I've ever had! The home made banofee pie also excellent! Really good, quick, friendly service too, and well priced. If I'm in town again, Ill be back. Many thanks to Heather for coming after us to let us know a table had come free, outstanding service and such a lovely gesture too!”
