About Waltham Tea Gardens
Membership sits at the heart of Waltham Tea Gardens, a members-only bar on Skinners Lane in Grimsby, where joining means a yearly-renewed membership rather than a one-off sign-up. Behind the bar sits a selection of beers and ciders alongside a dedicated gin bar, and gluten-free options are covered. The garden comes into its own in summer, when barbecues are put on outside. The club takes on private functions through the year, hosting wakes, christenings, leaving dos and wedding receptions for members and their guests. Dogs are welcome on a lead, and water bowls are put out for them. The interior has been refurbished, and the doors open daily with no booking system, so members arrive as they please. Parking on site is limited.

Customer Review Summary
Friendly, welcoming staff anchor nearly every account, described as helpful, polite and coping well with large numbers at private events. Close behind is the large beer garden, singled out repeatedly as a summer draw, with several noting barbecues out there and one describing a cider and gin bar they intend to work through. Drinks come up consistently for good beer selection, plenty of variety and reasonable prices, and one reviewer mentions gluten free options. The venue's function side recurs too: a mother in law's wake with a brought in buffet called delicious and good value, a leaving do with plenty of space, christening dos, and a couple checking it out for a wedding evening reception. Several mention a small annual membership fee for entertainment, one adding it is not going to break the bank. One notes parking is limited but a spot was found, and that dogs are welcome on a lead with water bowls provided.
