Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the harbour and marina views, best enjoyed outside in the sunshine, with the food close behind. Diners name a cheese and mushroom omelette with thick bacon and tato tots, a bacon bap, a steak with sweetcorn on the cob and chips, and a Mediterranean tart with salad. Coffees and cocktails get a mention too, and one reviewer enjoyed the free live music. Several call the staff friendly and polite, and one chef was thanked for asking how a steak should be cooked.

“Food was great but service could be a lot better. Went for my friend's birthday as she loves waffles. Tried to order waffles but was told this was part of the old menu which was not yet updated on their website. Ok - no worries, ordered something else. When waitress came to serve our drinks, we asked for bacon to be added to our food order. Was told no we can't as food will probably be served soon. Not even possibly, or will check with the kitchen. Food order came with the added bacon anyways. Both staff on shift not smiling at all. Table beside us was even served with their food without the staff saying hi or asking where to put the plate, literally just put the plate down and went back to counter. When it was time to pay, had to wait by the counter for more than ten minutes as staff was counting something. No apologies for the wait, or thanks for coming. Wasn't even shown the bill, just asked to pay the amount in the machine. Total was about 15% more than what we ordered, I'm assuming this was for service charge which is unjustifiable as the service was poor. Would not be coming back even for the good marina views and tasty food.”

“I had the best omelette today. We went in for the low tide £10 special but changed our mind and so glad I did. Omelette Full of cheese and mushrooms. Lovely thick bacon on the side. And the tato tots, so yum! 🤤 hubby had the bacon bap and thoroughly enjoyed it. Coffees were good too. Staff really friendly!! £30 so about average price-wise.”

“Absolutely love this place - beautiful view and the food is top notch. However this time visiting, the service could have been better. Everyone looked miserable. One of the waitresses even came out to tell us to get our drinks off the counter - not quite sure why couldn’t she have brought them out? This doesn’t sit well with me especially as it’s considered a premium place to eat and drink.”

“We visited after a recommendation from a close friend. It was beautiful sitting outside in the stunning sunshine with a wonderful view over the marina x This is a hidden gem, that I can only imagine, gets guests through word of mouth ❤️ We would never have found you without this x I'm sure next week will be sunny, so we'll be back. A huge thank you from the both of us ❤️”

“Ellie (front of house manager), Dave (head chef) and Ava (front of house), We visited for the first time in many years and from the moment we arrived, we felt completely relaxed. The views across Gunwharf, the Spinnaker Tower and the beautiful boatyard in Gosport were absolutely outstanding. We were lucky enough to visit on a glorious day, with plenty of sunshine, some welcome shade and even a brief spot of rain, which somehow added to the whole experience. The staff were exceptional from beginning to end. Their product knowledge was excellent, the choice and quality of food was fantastic, and they looked after us brilliantly throughout our visit. They answered our questions without ever being intrusive, and every member of the team was more than happy to engage in genuine conversation. The whole experience felt like something you would expect from somewhere much further afield. It honestly surpassed anything I have experienced locally. I would like to thank every member of staff for their hard work, attention to detail and genuinely warm service. You are a fantastic team and it really shows. For anyone who has not visited yet, or is unsure whether to go, I would highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed. A well deserved 5 star review. Thank you again for such a wonderful experience. Best regards”
