  “Myself and my son had a fantastic time at our bottomless brunch. The food, drinks and outdoor area were all excellent but the best part was the exceptional service from a wonderful team of staff who were attentive, fun and lovely to chat to.   “Our first time at Coal and it was such a fantastic experience!The two ladies who served our table were smiley, approachable and provide excellent service. We are already planning to come back and do another!Also Cherry Bakewell is now one of my favourite cocktails!”

  “Went for lunch and found it a bit expensive for four at £160.00. Thought I had ordered the steak frites which was £10.00 but must had ordered the sirloin steak at £36.00 very expensive for this cut of meat. My mistake so just got on with it. When the bill comes the server said that there was a service charge of £18.54 which if I was not happy with they can take it off. It’s a bit embarrassing in front of your guest to say please take it off the bill. Why do restaurants do this.? Will not use any restaurant again if they do this. So Coal Kitchen will be on my list of restaurants not to use again. Change your service charge policy and let your customer decide if you have earned it.”

  “I meant to share this review months ago and wish I had found this restaurant a lot sooner. What a delight: great food and the waitress (Natasha) was a superstar who went out of her way to help me with my gluten free requirements. Excellent food, superb atmosphere and honestly Natasha deserves a massive shout out. She was just fantastic the whole night: throughly polite/charming and she knew the menu inside out; we really enjoyed the whole experience and will be back again. Well done Coal Kitchen and Restaurant!!”

  “Brilliant sunday roast dinner, all incredibly tasty. Loads of delicious pork belly, moist and herby roast potatoes, massive yorkshire pudding, everything was gorgeous. Grolsch on tap was a rare find! Plenty of indoor seating and quiet, pleasant outdoor area too.”

  “Natasha was brilliant. Fantastic service. It was my husband's birthday . They even made off menu pina colados (my husbands favourite) which tasted delicious. In our party we ate burgers with blue cheese sauce, flat iron steak, and sea bass was amazing. The belly pork started was one of fhe most tasty we've ever had.”
