About Grill On Fire
On Victoria St in Glossop, Grill On Fire is a pizza takeaway whose kitchen cooks chicken and lamb on hot coals. The Adana kebab sits on the menu beside the Grill On Fire mix grill, a combination plate served with rice, chilli sauce and garlic sauce. The shop is open daily, and customers can order directly through its own website. There is no seating inside.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the grilled meat, with several noting the kebabs, lamb and chicken are cooked over hot coals for a lovely flavour. Diners single out the combination kebab with rice, the lamb chops on the mix grill, and the Adana kebab, called well seasoned and full of flavour. Chips and salad are described as crisp and fresh. The staff are called friendly. Complaints are substantial. One reviewer received raw lamb that seemed to have been cooked from frozen, and the shop sent out more lamb afterwards. A longtime customer says the chicken has turned soft and fluffy on two recent deliveries. Another found the lamb doner dry and reports food poisoning symptoms afterwards. A regular salmon order has arrived with less salad, no peppers and broken pieces on several occasions. One diner found the special kebab small, with store bought sauces. Another, who ordered the combination kebab with rice, left some chips uneaten because the portion was ample.

“The lamb doner was extremely dry and tasted off, as if it wasn’t fresh. The rice was just plain boiled and lacked the Turkish seasoning it normally has. The chilli and garlic sauces didn’t taste right either. I would not recommend this place. We had to return to our hotel, and I’m now experiencing symptoms of food poisoning after the meal. The restaurant has no seating inside although it doesn’t mention this online. It also pops up as halal but only a few items on the menu are halal. We had to repeatedly ask the staff member if the doner lamb even thought the staff member kept directing where it was. It’s a shame because the staff were nice. But the food quality is very poor. I got the chicken shish and didn’t like it either- sauce was too tangy, barely any chicken inside , and it wasn’t cooked to my liking.”

“Ive been coming to grill on fire for a while and always get to salmon with rice, but recently I've been given less salad, no peppers and my salmon has been broken up into pieces. This has happened on multiple occasions and I've let it slide.”

“Salad so fresh chips so crispy and hot. Chicken and lamb was so moist and so well cooked. I couldn't believe it accidentally had it for lunch 2 days in a row 😭”

“Previously 5 starts but honestly I have to say something about thequality of the chicken now ... I love(d) grill on fire and have ordered dozens of times but the last two times I've got delivery the quality of the chicken is wayyyy down. It has been soft and fluffy both times. I really hope you change the chicken back to your previous supplier as it's nowhere near as good!”
