About Rainbows End Cafe

Past the doorway, a garden seating area opens out back, giving those who want outdoor dining a spot away from the street. Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often come for the vegan chocolate cake and the other cakes and desserts, one describing it as moist and well balanced like a home made bake, another calling the desserts "to die for". Close behind are the lunches, with a stuffed aubergine with bean salad, a spinach and feta parcel with four salads, and a Sunday lunch that even meat eaters call delicious. Diners repeatedly praise the range of vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free choices, the large portions, and the peaceful garden out back. Several describe the staff as helpful and accommodating, with one saying they explained the menu and gave suggestions, and a dog owner mentions a bowl of food and water. Complaints are few but specific: one reviewer found the service and speed of serving slow, another wished more coffees were available, and a third notes the entrance is set back from the main road and easy to miss. Several say the place is always busy. One reviewer took a slice of cake to go after lunch.

“The best vegetarian eatery in the south West - and possibly beyond! Good, wholesome, freshly prepared food, catering for all requirements and tastes. Leave room for the cakes/desserts if possible - they are to die for! They've got a great garden area as well. Always busy, and that's definitely a good sign. Whenever I'm in Glastonbury, I always head to The Rainbow's End for food - it's essential.”

“We visited the Rainbows End for lunch while in Glastonbury and were very happy we did. Two of us are vegan and to find somewhere offering plenty of vegan and vegetarian options is nothing short of awesome. The staff were very helpful and polite. The cafe offers both indoor and outdoor seating. My only disappointment was the lack of coffees available but that really is only a tiny thing. We will be visiting again.”

“Our first but definitely not our last visit here. Although we are meat eaters, this has got to be the most delicious Sunday lunch we've both ever tasted. Absolutely delicious and we'll be back next time we visit gorgeous Glastonbury (hopefully June) - fabulous staff and wonderful atmosphere in this hidden gem 😋💚”

“We were looking for somewhere to eat on carnival night in November. Most places were very busy with uninspiring menus. We chanced upon the Rainbows End Cafe tucked between shops on the Main Street. The food looked good so we went for it. I …”

“I am a vegetarian (I can't be a vegan) with experience, and I really liked the variety of the menu and the quality of cooking, as well as the interior and service in this restaurant. For happy dog owners, there is also a bowl with food and water, very nice staff and atmosphere🙏🤗👍 …”
