Quick info
About The Log Cabin
Two adjoining spaces make up The Log Cabin, a bar and grill on Bredisholm Road in Glasgow, with a pub showing football on one side and the dining room served next door, so drinkers and eaters can settle in separately. The kitchen turns out homemade Italian and Scottish cooking, with lasagne and fish and chips among the plates and sticky toffee pudding closing the meal. Soups change across the week. Staff take orders at the table and the bill is settled at the end, and reservations are recommended. The restaurant opens daily, with lunch served on Saturdays as well as through the week. High chairs make room for families with young children, and a step-free entrance keeps the place workable for visitors with mobility needs.

Customer Review Summary
Desserts anchor much of the praise, with the sticky toffee pudding singled out more than once and one diner calling it, alongside the lemon cheesecake served with raspberry ice cream, to die for. Close behind is the value attached to generous plates: a lunch visitor rates the lasagne the best they have tasted, while another describes fish with huge chips and chicken goujons that arrived massive, both washed down after pumpkin and cream of mushroom soups. Several also mention the pub side, where drinkers watched a Rangers game among a mix of old, young and middle aged regulars and repeatedly remark on how spotless the place and the toilets are. Staff are described as polite, friendly and helpful across most visits. The dissent comes from one diner who felt the room looked more like a casual cafe than a restaurant and found the food fine but nothing spectacular, and would not return.
