Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return mainly for the big portions of noodles, curry and fried rice, with several calling the food tasty and good value. One reviewer's top pick is the spicy and salted squid, the curry is called delicious, and another says any fried rice is good. Dumplings are described as steaming fresh, though they took a little while. One suggests the place for large families because tables seat up to eight. Complaints are specific. One reviewer found the noodles greasy and heavy on Worcester sauce and the squid in the seafood curry overcooked. Another found the chicken wings in thick batter with little flavour. One very negative reviewer said the prawn fried rice looked unusually dark and tasted worse, and left it unfinished. A regular says the dishes slip on days when the chef is off, and one mentions a bad experience with staff. Still, staff are repeatedly called friendly and attentive, and one grandparent describes being offered containers to take home after the table over-ordered.

“Easily the worst Chinese takeaway I’ve had in the UK in over ten years. I ordered the prawn fried rice, and as soon as I opened the container, I lost my appetite. The rice was unusually dark and looked very unappealing. Sadly, the taste was even worse than the appearance. I couldn’t finish it and won’t be ordering from here again. Very disappointing experience.”

“I'm a regular here and always bring my friends with me to try "my favourite" noodle bar. The staff are very accommodating, even my fussy son loves it here.”

“The prices are a bit high but for the portions you get I’d say its definitely worth it, I come here frequently because the food is too good. The issues I have are regarding a few things: parking issues around the area and had a bad experience with the staff but I can’t help but come back for the food. I would not recommend the chicken wings as its very thick batter with very little flavour.”

“Staff are all so lovely attentive friendly and ensure we had everything we asked for. Even though my grandsons over ordered we were offered containers to take home. We know now how large the portions are, we'll order sensibly next time. 5 star service and best food by far Thank you so much”

“The Noodle Bar in Gillingham is still an 85 out of 100 for me. When it’s on point, the flavors are exactly what you’d hope for. But now and then, you can tell the chef might not be having the best day—and that does show in the dish. That said, I do keep going back, because when they’re on their game, it’s great. Just a heads up though—parking is pretty much a no-go, so plan accordingly!”
