Customer Review Summary

Sandwiches and toasties anchor the praise here, with the pastrami panini named most often, one reviewer describing its pesto, cheese, grilled peppers and caramelized onions as perfectly balanced and not messy. Close behind are the soups, with the mushroom soup and lentil soup singled out as delicious and hot, and a turkey, cranberry and Brie toasty that one reviewer is still thinking about weeks later. Diners also mention the hot dog, a smoked salmon sandwich, a chai latte and ice cream eaten by the canal watching boats pass through the locks. Reviewers describe the owners and staff as friendly and kind, and several call the portions and prices good value, though one finds it a bit expensive. The one complaint comes from an ice cream customer who asked to taste the whisky flavour and was made to feel the request was an inconvenience. Reviewers also note it is a small place with high tables and chairs, and one family's dog enjoyed a pupachino.

“Great option for food in the area. The sandwiches were delicious and the staff was courteous despite it being busy. The chai latte was excellent as well, one of the best chai lattes I’ve had in my life”

“This was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. My wife picked the pastrami for me, and it was a great choice. The ingredients (pesto, cheese, grilled peppers, and caramelized onions) were perfectly balanced and not messy. It’s a bit expensive, but definitely worth it for the quality. Highly recommended!”

“As soon as you enter this beautiful, vibrant sandwich shop, you are greeted by warm hospitality. The choices are all fresh and abundant and have tried various paninis and they are delicious. Also soups are always hot and yummy. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners who go above and beyond to make sure you are happy. The prices are fantastic especially with how big the baguettes are and the Ice cream flavours are lovely and so good too. A wee gem in the village, providing high quality of food. There are high tables and chairs to sit in too, an added bonus. Willow loves her pupachino. You both have got it just right, thank you so much.”

“We were very hungry and found this cute little brunch shop, after firstly visiting the pub nearby which was full. Fortunately, our experience in ‘Delightfulness’ was more than great; they had 2 options of soup, some sandwiches and sweets. We had the mushroom soup which, no joke, was the best soup I EVER had (and I don’t even like mushrooms). The lady there was very helpful and sweet and made us feel welcome. Prices were more than good and I definitely suggest this place, even for a quick snack.”
