“New to the area and my favourite chippy has always been back in Portsmouth or down in Lee-on-Solent, so expectations were pretty high. This place is within walking distance, so we gave it a go, and it’s safe to say I’ve now got a new favourite. The chips are spot on. Perfect balance of fluffy and crispy, with a proper mix of thin crunchy ones and big chunky soft ones. I went for the cod, and it was a seriously good portion. Cooked just right, not overly greasy, just clean and fresh. My partner had the veggie burger and loved it. Packed with loads of fresh salad too, which was a nice touch. And the curry sauce… easily one of the best I’ve had. They’ve absolutely nailed it. Nice bonus as well, they offer senior deals, which is a great touch. Only tip would be to order in person if you can, the markup on Just Eat is pretty steep.”
