Customer Review Summary

Full English breakfast is the most mentioned order, though opinions split. One reviewer found it greasy, with bacon needing more cooking, beans served in a little cup and a grumpy greeting. Others praise friendly service, the riverside location, good coffee and vegan pasties and sausage rolls, and two single out the bacon bap, with lovely thick bacon in soft bread.

“Sunday morning visit for breakfast before driving back North. In my opinion, big mistake. Greeted by whom I assume was the owner. No smile or friendly greeting. I politely asked if he had a breakfast menu, to be grumpily told that it was on the A5 card that I was holding. Chose 2 full English breakfast and 2 Latte coffee. Wow. Slightly under £36. Needless to say that I was expecting nothing but an excellent breakfast. Oh was I so disappointed. It was very greasy/oily. Bacon was merely rendered. It needed a little bit of caramelisation to make it tasty. Sausages did have a little bit of colour but could have been a little bit more cooked. Baked beans served in a little cup🤔 why oh why, you have to pour them onto the plate why not just put them on the plate in the first place? Mushroom was a massive 3 to 4 inch greasy thing which was promptly left untouched. Coffee was hot and excellent. Sadly in my opinion grossly overpriced and poor quality. Other than my partner and I there was 4 people in, just having a cuppa and a chat. So can't blame poor quality on being too busy to cope. Finally, a barking dog behind a food counter was certainly not expected and surely not hygienic. Certainly will not be visiting again.”
