Customer Review Summary
Pasta is what reviewers name most, led by arrabiata, called the best one a diner had ever eaten, alongside a penne Amatriciana with lots of smoky bacon, a rich and creamy Penne Milanese, and a Carbonara with a generous amount of pancetta. Close behind are the Pizza Garlic Bread, the Pavarotti Pizza and calamari, plus a good variety of vegetarian options. Desserts draw mixed reactions. Chocolate profiteroles and a warm sticky toffee pudding with ice cream earn praise, while one reviewer found the crème brûlée small and not sweet enough, the tiramisu heavy on cream with ladyfingers that needed longer soaking, and the prices high for a student budget. Service is described as attentive and kind. Staff were knowledgeable about a gluten intolerance, a manager made room for a party of 11, and a family feeding a baby was never rushed. One table asked for a box to take half their pasta home, and staff added extra parmesan on top when requested.

“The food here was really good, definitely an Italian restaurant that did Italian food well. However, the food prices are very high; if you’re a student, there are more affordable options (and the 12% tax adds up). One really big let-down was the crème brûlée (a dessert that I really love): it was so small for £9, and the filling wasn't sweet enough. I would definitely recommend trying the sticky toffee pudding!!! Super warm and delicious with the ice cream. The tiramisu had too much crème, and the ladyfingers should’ve been soaked for much longer. Overall the bill came to ~£86 for 2 mains and 4 desserts 🍮”

“Myself and my friends have always loved coming to Caspari’s while being here for university. We are always treated so well and the food and service is always amazing! Will miss this place so much when I leave 😊 my favourite Italian in the area!”

“We chose to eat at Caspari Restaurant during our Thorpe Park weekend, and it was easily one of the highlights of the trip. One of our party has a gluten intolerance, and the team were absolutely incredible, so knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely helpful in making sure everything was safe and enjoyable. It made such a difference. The food itself was outstanding: fresh, perfectly cooked, and served in just the right portion sizes. On top of that, everything was very reasonably priced, which made the experience even better. Honestly, I’ve never had a nicer Italian meal. 5 stars for both food and service doesn’t even feel like enough, utterly outstanding!!”

“The best arrabbiata I have ever had ! The waitress was very helpful & the restaurant baby friendly. At no time were we rushed or made to feel unwelcome even though we needed to stay to feed the baby. I would definitely return & have no hesitation in recommending for the great food, staff & atmosphere, 5 stars!”

“We’ve been to Caspari on a few occasions and have never been disappointed with the food and service. There’s a large selection of different types of food with a good variety of vegetarian options. The icing on the cake this time around was the Chocolate Profiteroles that were just amazing 🤩 Will be back for more sometime soon.”
