  “Stopped by Butta Burger today and was seriously impressed. The portions here are massive—you definitely won't leave hungry! Every single thing we ordered was delicious, top-quality, and super reasonably priced for what you get. On top of that, the staff provided excellent, friendly service. Highly recommend, will definitely be coming back!”

  “We booked butta burger through first table so had 50% discount on food, which made it a more reasonable priced meal for 4 as adding on fries to the price of the burgers does all add up. The drinks were more reasonably priced than a lot of restaurants. We all enjoyed our food. The fries are a big portion and one large portion would easily do 3 people, 4 at a push. The only criticism I have is that we arrived at 5pm and there was 1 other diner in the restaurant. With the huge ceilings it felt very empty and echoey. My suggestion would be to play some quiet back ground music, even if it was just when it was very quiet to make it feel a bit more relaxed.”

  “Food is quite nice but a little overpriced for what it is. The large fries were huuuge so share them! No one was in the place tho and we were eating at 5pm which was a little eerie 10% service fee even tho the staff (who was nice) didn't really do anything special... ok”

  “Delicious! Great place for solo dining, especially as a vegan. I had the vegan BLT with extra jalapeño relish, and it was great. Staff were all super friendly, and full of local knowledge.”

  “It’s a favourite of ours. We highly recommend you try Butta Burger if you’re visiting Edinburgh. The burgers are unreal!!! Butta Burger is located on George Street. It’s a short walk from Waverley Station. If travelling by car we recommend parking in St James Quarter. It’s only a 10-15 walk and the parking is slightly cheaper there than the street parking. The restaurant is bright and spacious with a vibrant yellow colour scheme. Staff are friendly and the service is efficient. The food is halal and there is plenty to choose from. The burgers are packed with flavour. My only critique would be that the chicken tenders could do with a dip on the side or alternatively the staff could maybe advise that it doesn’t come with a dip and suggest a sauce is ordered with it. The tenders are great nonetheless. The coating they use on the chicken here is amazing. Highly recommend the truffle chick and the truffle, Parmesan and rosemary salt fries.”

  “Found this place due to the high rating and now I see why. We cleared our plates. The burger felt so natural, like really good quality beef! All the ingredients were fresh. We had the Portbello smash and the Reuben and it was good. I’ll be back! 🩷🩷 Also, the fries portion was HUGE. We shared one and couldn’t finish it. I was served by Callum. He was really really nice and I think his service was 100%”

  “visited first time, lovely member of staff who served us (wish I got his name!), halal menu, which is a massive bonus! went for the black garlic chicken burger and it didn’t disappoint! also got a pot of black garlic sauce on the side and it was DELICIOUS. ordered BBQ flavoured wings, which I felt were slightly overpowering, next time would go for a different flavoured sauce. wish they’d had a meal option, as you’ve gotta buy sides separately, but it was a good experience overall and i’d definitely go back!”

  “We came here for a bite to eat after the Christmas markets, and we expected just a standard burger and fries but this place exceeded our expectations. The food here was incredible and high quality. Everything tasted 10/10 and the price wasn’t mind blowing either. It’s got quite a decent location aswell and the vibes inside are good. Would definitely recommend if you want actual good tasting food.”

  “Great service from the minute I walked in. The person serving me came to me quickly asked what I would like. Took his recommendation with the Trufle beef which I do not regret. Chips were a bit too salty for my liking but otherwise was really good food.”

  “I had a great experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious — especially the chicken burger. OMG, it literally melts in your mouth — what an incredible flavor! However, while we were waiting for our burgers, we noticed some were served freshly prepared and hot, while others had already gone cold by the time they reached the table. That was a bit disappointing. The service could use some improvement to ensure all dishes arrive hot and fresh, straight from the kitchen to the table. That said, I still highly recommend this place — especially for the chicken burger. It's a must-try!”
