Quick info
About Titash
Titash is an Indian restaurant on High Street in Downham Market that combines dine-in service with a takeaway kitchen, so guests can eat on site or take their order away. Service runs at a steady pace, and takeaway orders can run behind the stated time, which is worth knowing for anyone collecting. The team periodically checks in during the meal to refill drinks, offer more food and ask how things are going, and a warm towel is offered at the end of the meal as a small closing touch. A bhuna was served with rice in a large carton, suggesting portion sizes travel well. The menu is Indian across the board, covering familiar restaurant and takeaway territory. Bookings and walk-ins are both taken in the usual way, and the room sits in a town centre spot on the high street.

Customer Review Summary
Portion size dominates recent feedback: long-time takeaway customers describe noticeably smaller servings, with one lamb bhuna arriving with only three pieces and rice cartons described as barely half full. Across in-house visits, reviewers repeatedly call the food excellent and the portions large, with a friendly, attentive team, while one diner's takeaway ran an hour past the stated time. Stale poppadoms and a warm-towel exchange described as childish punctuate the negatives.

“Poppadoms stale, food for the pallet is very average. I have had much better. Foid is not fresh! The most annoying is after the meal is finished. The young Waiter comes with the warm towel - plays with this, by offering it and does not give it to you. Extremely childish and unprofessional. Won't be going back.”

“Had a takeaway yesterday 27th April I have used this outlet several times always happy however yesterday I was alarmed not at food quality that was good as always but my overriding memory is how the portion size has changed this is shrinkflation at its worse 3 pieces of lamb in a bhuna but rice was appalling nice big carton nearly half field this is rice for gods sake both sides that were ordered were also very light will keep my eye on reviews but i think this may be my last order which is a shame as I say food quality is good but I am not going to be taken for a ride other Indians up the road are as good”
