Quick info
About Dial House Cafe
Dial House Cafe is a B&B with a coffee shop attached on Railway Rd in Downham Market, so rooms are offered alongside the food menu. Guests are seated in a decorated room in the house rather than a conventional dining room, and the resident cats are often around to greet people on arrival. The kitchen serves breakfast, brunch and lunch, with coffee and cakes running alongside the cooked dishes. Afternoon tea, including a cream tea, can be booked ahead. Dogs are welcome in the café. It opens Monday to Sunday, with Tuesdays closed.

Customer Review Summary
Breakfast is the draw reviewers return to most, described as fresh, beautifully cooked and made with high-quality ingredients, with one visitor calling a late breakfast wonderful and another planning a return before finishing the first meal. Close behind sits afternoon tea, which one reviewer rates among the best they have had, booked as a birthday treat. Named dishes recur too: one regular recommends the Cream Tea and Crepes and calls the Speedy Dial Sandwich excellent, while another singles out sea bass cooked to perfection with its accompanying touches. Cakes and coffee draw repeated praise, as do the interiors, described as beautifully decorated and like stepping into someone's home. The owners and staff are called friendly, kind and welcoming throughout, never intrusive. One reviewer would like more vegetarian options. Several mention pre-booking brunch, and one notes only a small amount of courtyard parking with more on the road toward the high street. Dogs are welcome, and one party had bacon cooked for theirs.

“A real gem – wonderful stay, outstanding café! We had such a lovely stay at this B&B and can’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, Yosita and Rafiek made us feel genuinely welcome, and it was clear that a lot of care and pride goes into everything they do. The room was spotlessly clean, comfortable and beautifully presented, the kind of place where you instantly relax. Everything felt well thought out, from the quality of the furnishings to the small touches that make a stay feel special. It’s also really well priced for the quality, which made the stay feel like excellent value for money. One of the real highlights, though, is the café. Breakfast was exceptional, fresh, beautifully cooked and made with high-quality ingredients. The coffee was excellent but and the menu had something for everyone. We also had lunch during our stay and were just as impressed; generous portions, great flavours. The atmosphere throughout is relaxed and friendly, and the service from Yosita and Rafiek was warm, attentive and never intrusive. It’s rare to find a place that does both accommodation and food so well, but this B&B truly delivers on all fronts. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a really comfortable stay, outstanding breakfast and lunch and excellent value for money.”
