Customer Review Summary
Most reviewers praise hot, freshly cooked food, with the munchy box and the chicken and sweetcorn soup named as highlights, one diner calling the box so filling it went unfinished. Others point to a beef in black bean sauce with egg fried rice lunchtime deal, proper sized pancake rolls and chow mein, with one noting no cheap rubber noodles. Reviewers also describe friendly staff, reasonable prices and a fresh, clean shop after a refurb. A smaller group is sharply critical. One says the munchy box arrived with freezing salt and pepper chips lacking the advertised peppers and chilli, and with everything overcooked except the chicken balls. One reports hairs in the chicken wing coating, another says the rice smelled off and heavy spices seemed to cover it, and a third found the mains bland, dry and seemingly reheated, with dry cucumber and onions on the duck. One reviewer says delivery ran long but arrived hot, and another says the staff always cater to how they want their chow mein.

“Beautiful shop, but the food really let it down. The rice I received smelled off, and it felt like the heavy spices were there to cover it up. It completely put me off the chicken wings too.”

“Bought mega munchy box £22.30 . Salt and pepper chips were freezing and just chips with spices on and a bit of onion. No peppers or chilli as they advertise . Chicken wings had hairs coming out of coating , looked like human hair so we couldn't eat it. Disgusting .All over cooked except for chicken balls. Sweet and sour nice but for £22 wouldn't buy for sauce. Never again”

“The munchy box was exceptional and was so filling I couldn't finish it!! The chicken and sweetcorn soup was delicious too, would definitely order again if I was in the area. The online ordering system worked flawlessly. Easy parking in front of the takeaway.”

“Nice food good to see it open in the afternoon. Also do a good Beef in Blackbeean sauce with Egg fried rice lunchtime deal and proper sized pancake rolls not the thin tiny ones you get.”
