About The Storehouse

The Storehouse is a restaurant, deli and gift shop on Foulis Ferry in Dingwall, with views across the Cromarty Firth towards the Black Isle. Seating is split between an indoor room and a covered marquee that looks out over the water. The kitchen serves breakfast, lunch, coffee and cake, and the sweet options include a bread and butter cake with berries and a chai tea latte. A farm shop on site sells local goods. A separate shed holds artisan Scottish products and local artists' work, and the shops stock a large range of gins. Dogs are welcome. A queue to be served can form when it is busy. The restaurant is a stop along the A9 and has plenty of parking.

Customer Review Summary

The caveats are about crowds. One reviewer queued for a while before being served and found the main area noisy, though the covered area with the view was quieter. Another found the small exhibition closed during their visit. Even so, a few say they have returned several times, and one holidaymaker came back until the end of their trip.

“Very busy, had to queue for a while before getting served. But a beautiful setting-blessed with the weather today. Girls waiting on were efficient and polite. Food was plentiful. I was lucky to be in the covered area with views over the Loch so it was reasonably quiet. It was noisy for me, in the main area.”

“OMG why haven’t we discovered this place before We came here by chance and came back until we left at the end of our holiday. The food is amazing the cakes are amazing. We had a bread and butter cake with berries that was out of this world, never had anything like this before amazing. The staff is constantly smiling they are so nice and helpful they make you feel very welcome. The atmosphere is lovely. Prices we found were really, good and good value for money. We staid outside cos we had the dogs with us. And the marquee is covered very well, and no wind passes through. I can t wait for out next holiday to visit yous again Well done ❤️”

“The Storehouse is, without a doubt, one of the best breakfast spots I’ve visited in the UK! From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality. The staff are incredibly friendly and make everyone feel like part of the family. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the poached eggs and bacon on crumpets, and every bite was perfect. The real star of the show, though, was the chai tea latte. It was hands down the best I’ve ever had. In fact, it was so good that I ordered some to take away! As someone who loves supporting local businesses, The Storehouse is exactly the kind of place I’m happy to recommend. Great food, fantastic drinks, and wonderful people create an experience that’s hard to beat. When I’m back in Scotland, this will be one of my first stops! Highly recommended! 🫖🥓✨”
