  “My wife & I shared a Take-away (4x Popadums & Pickle Tray, Chicken Patia, with Mushroom Pilau & Peshwari Naan. DELICIOUS. One of the best Patias that I tasted (Sweet & Sour with a little heat). Friendly staff.”

  “This restaurant don’t deserve any rating. I had a very unpleasant experience at this restaurant. We didn’t even get to the point of ordering food because the manager was extremely rude from the start. Instead of welcoming us, he began lecturing us on how we “had to” order, which felt completely unnecessary and unprofessional. His tone was harsh and came across as more of a warning than guidance, making us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Because of this behavior, we decided to leave without ordering anything. It’s disappointing when customer service is so poor that you can’t even enjoy the basic experience of dining out. I would not recommend this place based on how we were treated.”

  “I had a very disappointing experience at Chilli Masala. Despite presenting itself as an Indian restaurant, the staff did not seem to have a clear understanding of the dishes on the menu, which was frustrating. The main issue, however, was the manager’s attitude. He was unwelcoming and came across as dismissive, lacking basic professionalism and customer service skills. As a result, we felt uncomfortable and decided to leave. In comparison, Cafe India provides a much better experience, with knowledgeable staff and reliable service. Unfortunately, Chilli Masala fell well below expectations.”

  “Honestly one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had in a while. From the second we got there, the staff had such a rude attitude for absolutely no reason. No proper greeting, no friendliness, just straight up cold and dismissive. What made it even worse was how they kept telling us how to order, like we didn’t know what we were doing. Every time we tried to say what we wanted, they’d interrupt or correct us, which was honestly so frustrating. It didn’t feel helpful at all—it just felt controlling and kind of disrespectful. The whole time we were there, it felt like we were being judged or told off instead of actually being served. The atmosphere was so uncomfortable, and it completely ruined what was supposed to be a nice meal out. It’s not hard to just be polite and let customers order how they want, but apparently that’s too much to ask here. Customer service was genuinely awful, and it seemed like they just didn’t care about making the experience enjoyable at all. We left feeling annoyed more than anything. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place. There are so many other restaurants where the staff actually treat you nicely and make you feel welcome—this is not one of them.”

  “We visit the Chilli Masala Diner in Dingwall every time we’re up north, and it’s always brilliant. The food is absolutely outstanding — the texture, the taste, the flavour, and even the price are all exceptional. The mains and starters are consistently top-quality, and we’ve never had a bad meal here. The only things that let it down slightly are the kids and dessert menus. The kids’ menu is quite limited, especially for children who don’t like curry. At the moment, the only real alternative is chicken nuggets and chips, so it would be great to see a couple more options added, like sausages or something similar. The dessert menu is also very small, and the prices feel a bit high for what you get. The desserts don’t seem homemade — they come across as frozen — which is a bit disappointing compared to how exceptional the rest of the food is. That said, the overall dining experience is fantastic, and we keep coming back for a reason. Highly recommended for anyone who loves amazing Indian cuisine!”

  “I have found this restaurant through Google maps, reached at 2:00 PM & it was closed, I have to wait for an hour to grab some snacks and when I ordered the food, they said you need to spend at least £10.00 per person for dine in. It was quite shocking as I don't had that appetite to eat entire food and then waste it or throw it in bin rather I would like to order and eat limited quantity food. Also what if there food is stale or not as per our taste then my money is wasted. I won't recommend this restaurant to anyone as they've weird rule to spend £10 per person for Dine in which is very disappointing.”

  “Had nice dinner here. Restaurant is very clean and newly decorated. Menu is varied, well designed spice wise and reasonably priced. Food is good but some reviews here are a little bit too generous calling it the best indian food in Scotland - that's a high mark! Staff was friendly and attentive.”
