  “Booked a table for after a show at Vaillant Live. The show over ran but I phoned the restaurant as soon as we left & they were wonderful & still accommodated us. The food, service and whole experience was 10/10. Couldn’t fault a single thing & every dish was delicious. We will definitely be visiting again.”

  “This is my second time in Derby, and I simply had to visit the best restaurant in the city again! I ordered the seafood rice for the second time, and the service provided by Karine was incredible; she was extremely kind, cheerful, and friendly. She even made me a wonderful drink—our Brazilian strawberry caipirinha. I want to thank the chef who prepared my paella and Karine, the server, from the bottom of my heart!”

  “I really enjoyed dining at Lorentes. The tapas dishes were full of flavour and perfect for sharing, and everything felt fresh and well prepared. The riverside location made the experience even better, especially in the evening. The staff were friendly and helpful with recommendations. It’s a great place for a social meal with friends or family.”

  “Went for lunch today and picked a bunch of different items from the tapas menu. Absolutely fantastic! The food is amazing, fresh, and the portion sizes are very generous. The servers were helpful and friendly, the atmosphere of the restaurant was good - a small little place but charming. Very impressed and will definitely be back for more! 💕”

  “We visited here on a weekday and had a lovely time! The service was wonderful, staff very friendly, polite and attentive and the food was just as good! We had a few tapas plates which were all a decent size and very tasty indeed. Highly recommended.”

  “First but definitely not the last time coming here! We had a mix of items from the tapas menu and everything was fresh, tasty, filling and rich. We enjoyed every bite. Cosy interior. Hidden gem, can't wait to come back. Bonus for being very reasonably priced.”

  “Visited on Easter Sunday for a birthday celebration. Only found out about the place online the day before. How have we not been here before? This is a little gem of a restaurant. Although fairly small, and quiet when we arrived late afternoon, the restaurant had a nice feel from the moment we arrived. Service was excellent all the way through even as it got busier, and all our questions about the menu were answered by the manager who obviously took great pride in the restaurant. The food was excellent as we shared 5 tapas between 2 of us, which was more than enough, although we were tempted by dessert. The selection of wines was good, and the Spanish beers were interesting and varied. Overall an excellent meal, and good value when taking into account drinks as well. We’ll be back.”

  “This place is honestly so lovely!! The staff were so friendly and recommended the best dishes and portion sized for our group. Every single item we ordered was so tasty, and arrived quickly and fresh and hot from the kitchen. Definitely will be back!!!”
