“We have eaten here before and chose to return as the food was good. Unfortunately tonight's experience was far from what we were expecting. We arrived at 6pm and there were 3-4 tables seated indoors and one couple outside. We waited over 15 minutes with no service and had to go indoors ourselves to find a member of staff to order. We chose to order both our drinks and food at the same time. We only ordered main courses (6 people). We waited approximately an hour for our food to arrive. When the steak arrived it was not cooked medium rare as asked, it was raw and cold in the middle. It was sent back to the kitchen to be cooked. Once returned, it was better cooked but chewy and tough. The remaining food was ok. We asked for the bill after finishing eating - by this time it was 8pm ( 2 hours since we walked in - one drink and one main course only...) When the bill arrived there was a compulsory 10% service charge - apparently this is standard. We asked for it to be removed due to the very slow service and the issue with the steak. The "manager" came out and was immediately aggressive and defensive. We explained we just wanted it removed because the service was not good and there was an issue with the food. The manager argued that we should expect to wait because it was busy - it wasn't busy when we ordered and it is the responsibility of the business owner to plan appropriately for peak times ( it's a Saturday evening!!). We asked again for the service charge to be removed and the manager continued to argue. We stated we just wanted to pay and leave. As we left, the table near us, who had also arrived just after 6pm still hadn't been served their main courses and were having a similar "discussion" with the manager who doesn't appear to be able to accept any form of constructive criticism or take any responsibility for his business falling short of what is reasonable to expect. We would have ordered desserts and probably more drinks, but the slow service meant we didn't - so they lost further revenue. It's a real shame that what should have been a simple, quiet situation and acknowledgement of service standards falling short being turned into an aggressive and embarrassing conversation. Certainly soured the taste of the meal.”

“Had an amazing meal last night with my beautiful lady. From the moment we entered the staff were receptive and very approachable. The cocktails (Thanks Aga) and food were amazing. Will definitely be back. Thank you.”

“I went to Murati's a few times, more recently with work colleagues, and yesterday my partner and I ordered one pizza and two starters online. The reason why we chose them is because we know how good the food is. I don't usually leave reviews, but we had such a bad experience last night and unfortunately they lost two good customers. We placed the order at 19:45, arrived at 20pm, I went inside to ask for an estimate time. The girl told me it would take around 15 to 20mins. I noticed the place was full, and there was nowhere to wait really, so I went outside and told my partner what she said. 20:30, nothing. At that point I was inside standing by the bar area, trying to get someone's attention, but after a long time being ignored, the same girl seemed to be the only one noticing me. She apologised and said they only had one person in the kitchen that night and that's why the delay, and it would take an extra 15 to 20 mins. Don't get me wrong, she was very apologetic and nice, but I had a feeling they forgot my order. I saw a guy coming in and grabbing some boxes and that annoyed me a bit, but I thought "never mind, maybe he ordered before us". I explained to the girl I'm pregnant and wasn't feeling great standing there waiting and I wasn't expecting to take so long. She apologised and offered me to sit down - I didn't because I needed fresh air and went outside. Literally at 21pm I was getting super annoyed, my partner outside waiting with our dog. We were super hungry and I said to him the only reason I didn't cancel the order was because I was so hungry, we still needed to get back home which is around 15mins away. We were both tired and sick of waiting (me literally). Finally when I went inside again, a guy handed me the order, we got in the car and open the box of pizza to eat them, and we were both absolutely SHOCKED that the pizza was COLD!!!! The starters were hot. What happened was quite obvious: they completely forgot to prepare the starters, and instead of making fresh pizzas or even apologising and offering some sort of compensation, no, they probably thought "it's ok, let's give them the cold pizza, we will get away with it!". Disrespectful, shocking customer service! I always love eating there, and I still rate the food as very good, but after this shocking experience, we are definitely not going back. I was offered a seat? Really? Poor girl, it wasn't her fault, but whoever manages the place needs to do a better job! Or don't offer online orders if you can't handle it! Shame because we really liked their food. The only reason we didn't go back there straight away to complain was because at that point we were starving and already driving halfway home, and I thought "that will do, I'm hungry, but they lost us!". I'm not the one to leave bad reviews, I appreciate how hard those people work, but this needs to be taken on board to improve their services! That was was out of order, unacceptable and disrespectful!”

“Food was absolutely full of flavour and definitely worth the wait. The service was a little slow initially as we waited around 15 minutes before our drinks order was taken, but once we prompted the staff a couple of times they became much more attentive. It seemed like they may have just been a bit short staffed on the day we visited. Overall though, the quality of the food really made up for it and we’d happily return.”
