Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often praise the food, calling it delicious and good Turkish fare at reasonable prices, with staff making a family birthday meal feel welcome. Service draws the complaints. One diner waited for bread until halfway through the meal and a second Coke until after finishing, and another ordered Iskender kebab but received Adana kebab with yogurt, then found a service fee added to the bill.

“Avoid this place at all times. The people here are indirectly racist and their stinks. I’m honestly extremely disappointed and disgusted by my experience with this business. No customer should ever have to feel unwelcome, disrespected, looked down upon, or treated differently because of their background, appearance, ethnicity, or culture. Every customer deserves to be treated with basic respect, dignity, and fairness, regardless of who they are or where they come from. What makes this kind of experience particularly upsetting is when the behaviour is indirect. Sometimes discrimination does not come in the form of openly racist words. It can come through attitudes, dismissive responses, disrespectful gestures, the way someone speaks to you, or the way you are made to feel as though you do not belong. These behaviours can leave a person feeling humiliated, uncomfortable, and unwelcome, even when the other person might try to dismiss or deny the impact of their actions. A business should be a place where customers feel comfortable spending their money and enjoying their time. Hospitality is not just about having chairs outside, displaying food and drinks, or presenting an attractive storefront. It is about how people are treated. You can have a beautiful-looking establishment, but if the customer service lacks respect, decency, and genuine hospitality, the appearance means very little. I strongly believe that no one should have to tolerate behaviour that makes them feel inferior or unwelcome. Customers are not asking for special treatment. We are asking for the same courtesy, consideration, and respect that everyone else deserves. There should be no double standards, no unnecessary attitudes, and no behaviour that makes someone question whether they are being treated differently because of who they are. What disappoints me most is the thought that someone else could walk into a place expecting an ordinary, pleasant experience and leave feeling the same way. Businesses have a responsibility to make their customers feel welcome, and when someone's conduct creates the opposite impression, it deserves to be addressed seriously. I am sharing my concerns because respectful treatment matters. Racism and discrimination, including behaviour that people perceive as subtle or indirect, should never be brushed aside simply because they are not expressed openly. The impact on the person experiencing that behaviour is real, and it should not be ignored. To any business owner or staff member reading this: customers notice how you treat them. They notice your attitude, your tone, your body language, and whether you make an effort to treat everyone fairly. Good customer service should never depend on someone's background or appearance. Respect should be the minimum standard, not a privilege reserved for certain people. I hope this business takes customer concerns seriously and reflects on the importance of providing a welcoming, respectful environment for everyone. Nobody should have to walk away from an establishment feeling disrespected or questioning whether they were treated differently because of their identity. I would encourage anyone considering visiting to make their own informed decision and pay attention to their experience. I personally feel deeply disappointed by what I experienced, and I cannot ignore how it made me feel. Respect is not optional. Discrimination should never be normalised. And no business should forget that every customer deserves to be treated with dignity. #CustomerExperience #RespectEveryone #StopRacism #NoDiscrimination #CustomerService #TreatEveryoneEqually #HospitalityMatters”

“I went there for lunch to eat Iskender, but the staff were completely unfocused. I had finished my meal, yet no one took my plate away, asked if I wanted anything else, or brought the bill to the table. The waiters seemed like they were in another world, just staring at you blankly. As for the Iskender itself, it was totally off in both taste and presentation. There was barely any sauce, and the meat had an unpleasant smell. Despite all these disasters, they unashamedly added a service fee to the bill, which was already more expensive than even the finest restaurants. The moment you walk in, you are greeted by two grumpy waiters and an unbearable smell. It's a stuffy and gloomy place. I would never recommend it. This was my first and last time... -0 👎 _____ It was on October 5th, at approximately 1:00 PM (during lunchtime). There was a female waitress and a smug, dark-complexioned male waiter wearing a sloppy black t-shirt. I finished my meal and waited for quite a long time—I even placed my napkin inside the plate to signal that I was done—yet they just stood there staring blankly. On top of that, I ordered Iskender kebab, but they brought me Adana kebab with yogurt instead. It seems the staff is either completely inexperienced or hates their job and is just there to pass the time. Tell them to quit and stay home—or better yet, just close the place down and all go home, because you clearly do not know how to run this business. Representing Turkish cuisine this terribly is a genuine embarrassment.”

“The food was generally good, although I would say it was average rather than outstanding. The atmosphere was nice, and I liked the overall setting. However, unfortunately, I was not happy with the service. After the food arrived, I asked for some bread, but it only arrived halfway through the meal. I also asked for a second Coke when I was halfway through my meal, but it was brought only after I had completely finished eating. It took far too long for such simple requests, which affected the overall dining experience. I had no issues with the food or the atmosphere, but I think the speed and attentiveness of the service definitely need to be improved.”
