Quick info
About Keepers Cottage Inn
Keepers Cottage Inn is a pub in Cullompton, on Kentisbeare, set in an old building with thick walls. At the bar, one cask beer is served from a wooden cask. The kitchen turns out home-cooked meals, including steak and ale pie and other steak dishes, and a Sunday roast rounds out the food. Dogs are welcome, and a snug area gives guests a spot to sit with them while they eat or drink.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the generous portions of home cooked pub food, with the steak and ale pie singled out for tender meat, rich gravy and a flaky crust. Steak dishes, chicken dishes and a Sunday roast also draw strong approval, and one diner called the roast very good value. Close behind are the friendly staff and the beer, including a cask ale served from a wooden cask. Holidaymakers say they returned for a second meal or several drinks, and one group enjoyed a snug area where they could sit with their dogs. The caveats are small but specific. One reviewer found the mushroom stroganoff on the small side and ordered extra dauphinoise potatoes, while another said the pub felt cold and had no WiFi because of the thick walls. Service was slow on one busy visit, and the bar area was described as cosy but in need of brighter lighting. A party of 40 praised the hot, tasty food, but the rubbish-strewn, overgrown gully with no flat ramp was hard going for a wheelchair user.

“I had mushroom stroganoff, which was a bit on the small side (portion wise). Good I ordered some extra dauphinoise potatoes! 👍😉. Hubbies steak was a better size. Delicious meat! Lovely lady behind bar: Chloe? Unfortunately, the pub felt quite cold and there was no WiFi (very thick walls).”
