Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the Sunday roast, with four types of roast meat usually on offer, described as plentiful and beautifully cooked, with crackling and fresh vegetables that stood out. Close behind are the fish and chips, called really good, and portions that one diner found so huge they skipped a starter. Puddings also draw praise, including a chocolate brownie sundae and a honeycomb cheesecake with ice cream. The beer and wine choices are described as decent, and several mention that food arrived quickly. Staff are repeatedly called friendly, and one group says a large party was handled with aplomb. Prices are widely called reasonable. Dog-friendliness is noted as a bonus by several, and one reviewer suggests booking for Sunday. No recurring complaints appear. One table asked to change a few items on their order and was accommodated at no extra charge, and a server brought out dishes of dog biscuits for two visiting dogs.

“Visited today for lunch. We were welcomed and served by a delightful young lady who turned out to be very busy but this did not deter from the service at all. The food was hot, tasty and plentiful. We will be back!”

“Second time we've eaten here and we were not disappointed. Lovely welcome from the staff. Service excellent. Four of us had the Sunday roast. Superb. Very plentiful, beautifully cooked. Haven't seen fresh vegetables served like this for a really long time. Meat/crackling were delicious. I had honeycomb cheesecake with ice cream. Delicious! We all thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and we will be back again soon. Well done to all the team at the Bull. Thank you.”

“Sunday lunch after a visit to Hole park. The staff friendly and knowledgeable. Large choice of food on the menu. Usually 4 types of roast meat + a wide selection of other foods. Reasonable choice of beer and largers. Good choice of wines. Very quickly served and very well presented. Lots of pudding choice. Some of the party indulged in a fantastic chocolate brownie sundae. Good coffee. The pub is also dog friendly. Prices are good. Recommend booking for Sunday.”
