  “Quickly seated. Order taken within a time that didn't feel rushed but was enough time to have a proper look. Prices were decent for a dine in restaurant. Portion size was good. Overall was a good experience. Please note image of fish and chips was after vinegar was applied. It wasn't greasy or anything.”

  “I love Bannys. The food is always delicious. This time we went as a party of 11 for my friends maternity leaving do! The atmosphere is great with a lovely nautical theme. I always get the fish or the scampi but this time I went for the honey chicken and boy was I glad I did! It was so crisp on the outside yet deliciously moist in the inside. 10/10. Can't wait to go back!”

  “The smell is very enticing as you drift across the car park. Nice menu, good traditional options, decent prices. Gravy could have been thicker. A lovely restaurant area, nice serving team.”

  “The fish and chip is ok but the fish pie is not that good. Most of the fish of the fish pie is Salmon, the single taste make the dish boring.”

  “I visited yesterday 28th April 2026. I ordered a portion of chips & curry sauce with a can of Pepsi. The order came to £6.00. As you can see in the picture the portion is minut & definitely not worth the money. I will most definitely not be returning. Value for money is -5 stars!”

  “Although the setting is brilliant with service to match the food quality has dipped considerably. The haddock served was small and almost pink, which suggest old frozen stock. And no one talks about the poor quality of their chips. Tough and tasteless. You also get half a teaspoon of tartare sauce. Not enough for the expensive menu prices.”

  “Visited Banny’s British Kitchen in Colne/Burnley and had the cheese and onion pie with salt and pepper chips — absolutely delicious! The food was really tasty, full of flavour, and cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was great too, with a welcoming environment that made the whole experience even better. A really enjoyable visit and I’ll definitely be coming back!”

  “When we go shopping at the fabulous Boundary Outlet in Colne we usually end up eating at Bannys as the food is consistently good and such great value. The restaurant is located next to the main gate of the outlet with its own ample parking outside and a number of disabled parking spots in front of the main entrance. There's a large waiting area with comfy seats for customers to wait for a table during busy times when both the 'Fish' section & 'Chips' section are full. They have a big upright fish tank in this area, which is always a big draw for young children. Bannys serve fish, chicken, scampi, pie & chips, burgers & wraps, with a couple of Asian twists e.g. Indian fish & chips and salt 'n' pepper chicken & chips. There's a couple of plant based mains options, bits & bobs, add ons & sides on the main menu and a seperate desserts menu. My wife's go to meal is always the Indian fish & chip with its light, spicy battered haddock goujons drizzled with yogut & mint sauce & fresh spring onions, served with proper chips and a bowl of delicious madras curry sauce. My go to meal is the lightly battered, fresh, flaky haddock with a slice of lemon, proper chips and a side of mushy peas. We always have a pot of tea with a pot of extra hot water to go with our food. We tend to go when it's not too busy with no wait time for a table and our food is served within 5 to 10 minutes after ordering. The staff are friendly and very efficient and there are male, female & disabled toilets at the back of the restaurant. Bannys is our favourite fish & chips restaurant and we always enjoy eating there.”

  “The venue here is large and well decorated. Very comfortable seats. Modern look and very clean and tidy. Service was perfect and the food is of a small and reliable fish and chips style menu. I had the Indian curry fish and chips and was impressed by the curry sauce and the quality of the fish. This place is of good quality and is very popular.”

  “I thoroughly enjoyed this! It's the perfect balance between a traditional fish and chips and a fusion of Indian and Chinese flavours! Literally can not fault any of the food or the service and it was bang on. The Indian fish and chips with the salt and pepper fries was bang on. The mushy peas are perfectly done and freshly made and was the Chinese curry sauce. Everything was cooked to perfection and went down a treat with everyone. I would definitely recommend and will be visiting again soon!”
