Customer Review Summary

Stone rock oven pizza is the clear draw, with reviewers repeatedly singling out the Margherita and pepperoni as standouts and praising the freshly baked, stone bake base as some of the best they've had. Close behind, several mention the halloumi salad and nachos, and the vegetarian choice earns specific praise. The atmosphere around the open oven and fireplace, along with staff described as friendly and attentive, comes up often, and one reviewer notes an owner personally greeting guests. Complaints recur around value and consistency: one diner calls the wine "WAY overpriced," another found the pizza itself average and overpriced for the toppings given, and a takeaway order reportedly took 40 minutes despite being chosen for speed. Separate reviewers flag practical issues, including leaks in the garden area, dim lighting near the toilets and beer garden that led diners to use phone torches to read menus, and staff who didn't know that Peroni was a lager. Despite these gripes, most describe returning or planning to return for the pizza itself.

Really great meal here. The place was very welcoming and relaxed. The staff were very helpful and engaging. We had a pepperoni pizza and a halloumi salad. Absolutely delicious. Would revisit and recommend. Brilliant!!

Pizza base was perfect and the combination of flavours was delicious. Lots of choice for vegetarians. Genuinely the best pizza I've ever eaten! Service was great and staff were really friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Sadly very underwhelming. We paid for "the best pizza in Wales" (according to their sign) and if that's true, then Wales isn't doing well for pizza! The pizza was average but overpriced considering the amount of toppings. The wait was ridiculous. 40 minutes for a takeaway pizza? We opted for takeaway because we expected it to be quicker. We walked in off the street and if they'd told us when we walked in that the wait would be that long, we'd have left it. it ended up very late for us to be eating by the time we got back with the pizza. Very underwhelmed, won't be going back and don't recommend.

Very nice pizzas and the staff are attentive enough. The wine is WAY overpriced for a place like this !!! Otherwise, we would have had a bottle of wine with our pizzas. A lot of BIG leaks in the garden area that needs fixing. Both the girls that served us did not know that Peroni was a lager !! It's a bit dark in the restaurant area near the toilets and beer garden. We had to use the torches on our phones to read the menu and it wasn't just us that did that during the visit. The staff must see this all the time....don't they feed this back to the owners ? Can't fault the pizzas, but dropped a few stars because of the staff don't know the products they are selling and the lighting issue. We will go back next time in Chepstow.

Where the data comes from
Name, address, hours, contact details, amenities, ratings and review counts come from the business's publicly available profile data — not from the owner and not from paid submissions.
How it stays current
Every listing is re-checked on a recurring crawl, and anything reported as wrong is corrected at the source rather than patched on the page.
How it is ranked
Placement is never sold. Every business on the page is ordered and compared using the same public signals, so an owner cannot pay to move up.
