  “We discovered Mr Cavendish the other week and absolutely love it! It’s in a great location, the decor is lovely, the coffee is fantastic & the chai is amazing - but mostly, it’s the wonderful team that keeps us coming back. The ladies are always so welcoming whenever we visit and make such a fuss of our newborn, which we really appreciate. They even helped us out with some hot water yesterday after we realised we’d left part of our milk-heating adapter at home (new novice parents over here! 😂). I genuinely love coming here. It’s always lovely to see the place busy and thriving, but even when it is, we never feel rushed to finish our drinks and leave. It has such a warm, relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to stay. Couldn’t recommend Mr Cavendish enough - 10/10! ☕️🤎”

  “Absolutely perfect. Staff are so welcoming and friendly. Coffee is so fresh and the cakes are wonderful. Nothing less than 5 stars. If you visit Chelmsford come here. It's wonderful. And ladies if you want you can get you hair done afterwards. Or a haircut and coffee. Your choice. Brilliant coffee house. Love it.”

  “I stopped by Mr Cavendish Coffee House at around 11am while looking for a nice place to grab a coffee. Parking wasn’t the easiest, but I found a nearby pay-and-display, and it was definitely worth the stop. From the moment I arrived, the café had a modern, stylish, and welcoming feel. It’s located on a main road, making it easy to spot and find. I was greeted by three genuinely friendly ladies who all had big smiles and a great attitude towards every customer. That warm welcome immediately created a positive first impression. The interior is beautifully designed, with a consistent colour scheme and great attention to detail—even the coffee cups match the overall aesthetic. It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into creating a comfortable and premium atmosphere. I ordered a skinny flat white, which is my go-to coffee. I’ve had countless flat whites over the years, so I’m quite particular. This one was excellent—smooth, creamy, well-balanced, with a great texture and strength, and no bitterness. I’d happily give it an 8/10. They also offer a great selection of homemade cakes, cold drinks, shakes, and smoothies. The sandwich selection isn’t huge, but that’s understandable. This is a coffee house that clearly focuses on doing coffee exceptionally well, and it certainly succeeds. There was plenty of seating available, with a mix of cosy sofas and more traditional tables, making it equally suitable for catching up with friends or getting some work done on a laptop. Despite it being 29°C outside, the café was cool and comfortable thanks to the air conditioning. Overall, I really enjoyed my visit and would definitely recommend Mr Cavendish Coffee House. If you appreciate quality coffee in a modern, cosy setting with friendly service, this is well worth a visit.”
