  “A group of us girls went out for a lovely tea last night. We were sat outside in the glorious sunshine. It was like being abroad the service what’s fabulous and so was the food , Will definitely be back very soon. Every single one of us said the same thing deserve the five stars.👍”

  “Not often you find somewhere where the service is, like the food, excellent. Very attentive staff and although my Hubby doesn't really eat Italian food, he says both their steaks are amongst the best he's had anywhere....and he knows his steaks! Starters & mains were discounted by 50%, too 😋”

  “We attended a family birthday afternoon session. The food was outstanding (rib starter and Calzone main) and just for 15 quid? Get outa here!! Seriously a superb venue, brilliant staff, brilliant location and brilliant food. Pity we live over 50 miles away otherwise Piccolo would be our 'go to' venue.”

  “An Absolute Gem in Gatley! We had a fantastic evening at Piccolo Bar & Restaurant. There is nothing quite like enjoying authentic Italian food while soaking up the beautiful English evening sunshine, and Piccolo provided the perfect setting for it. The food was absolutely outstanding. I started with the costolette—tender, beautifully seasoned ribs that fell right off the bone—followed by a perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful steak. Every bite was spot on. What made the evening even better was the service. The young staff were incredibly attentive, welcoming, and sharp, ensuring our drinks were topped up and we had everything we needed without ever feeling intrusive. Between the delicious food, the lovely outdoor atmosphere, and the top-tier service from a great team, Piccolo is easily one of the best value dining spots in the area. We will definitely be back.”

  “I feel spoilt for choice in Gatley because my favourite cuisines are all represented on the same street, and Piccolo’s is absolutely my go-to when I’m craving Italian. The food is consistently to a really high standard, and the whole place has a lovely balance of feeling slightly more high-end while still being relaxed and welcoming. One of the little touches I really like is the Italian music playing in the background, which adds to the atmosphere and makes the whole experience feel that bit more authentic. They regularly offer fantastic deals alongside a separate lunch menu, which makes it excellent value for money. Some menu items naturally aren’t to my personal taste (mainly because I’m not big on mushrooms or seafood), but there’s still plenty of choice and I’ve found several dishes I keep coming back for. The goat’s cheese bruschetta is my go-to starter and an absolute must-try. For a long time I stuck to the pizzas and calzones (this was actually the place that converted me into a calzone fan) but recently I discovered the tortellini (pictured), which is now a serious contender for my favourite dish. It’s incredibly filling and absolutely delicious. If I had any criticisms, it would be that some dishes can feel a little smaller portion-wise than others, and I do think the billing structure can sometimes feel more complicated than it needs to be. That said, neither of those things takes away from what is still a fantastic local Italian with great food, great atmosphere, and consistently friendly service.”

  “Great night. Very good atmosphere, considering Weds evening shortly after Xmas. Staff were great (especially, but not exclusively, Antonio). Given the 50% off food offer, we expected slightly smaller servings, yet the quality and quantity of food was excellent. Well done all of you, will be back again soon!”

  “Lovely little restaurant, atmosphere was calm service was wonderful really pleasant staff. Clean and tidy. Food was wonderful we asked for the steak to be cooked more, which was taken care off without issue. The costine was incredible i'll order them next time I go. The portion sizes are huge which was great.”
