Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the man behind the counter, described as funny, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. One says he helped with gluten free choices and understood the difference between coeliac and gluten intolerance. The food draws similar praise. One delivery order of kung po chicken, shredded chilli beef, house special rice and garlic and chilli chicken wings arrived piping hot, and another reviewer who asked for food super spicy got exactly that. One reviewer urges ordering the salt and pepper ribs. One notes the phone line takes persistence on a busy Saturday evening. The criticism is specific but comes from two reviews. One describes lumpy curry sauce, rock hard bean sprouts and stone cold chicken on a chow mein, with the shop not answering the phone to take the complaint. The other objected to teenagers swearing over a GTA game and filling the seats while the owner made no effort to calm it, which led a parent to send a five year old out to the car. A different reviewer likes that half portions let them try new dishes without spending a fortune.

“Best Chinese in the area by an absolute mile. Love that Alex does half portions so you can try new dishes without having to spend a fortune in the process. Order the salt and pepper ribs!”

“Curry sauce lumpy with weird bits in, looks like flour that hasn't mixed properly, no amount of stirring helps. Chicken chow mein, rock hard bean sprouts, chicken stone cold placed on top, more onion than everything else together. Shop won't even answer the phone to accept a complaint or to rectify their mess and uber eats refuse to help. You have been warned, this place is rock bottom. Cotswolds might be beautiful but the businesses around here are the worst in the country.”

“Was passing through and decided to grab a Chinese, stepped in the door and was greeted by the funniest bloke I've ever met, kept me entertained whilst I waited for my food. A credit to the business. MazzaL20 ✌🏻 Food was unreal too btw, nom nom nom”

“I decided to revisit my old Chinese restaurant as I was in the area and the food was amazingly delicious 😋 so that’s worth 4 stars, would have been 5 but, ………. The only bad review I have is the amount of bad language from a group of teenagers that were hanging out in the restaurant playing GTA. I had to send my little girl who is 5 years old to go and wait in the car with a relative whilst I waited for the food! I was also left stood right by the door as the group of teenagers were taking up a lot of space/all of the seats. This is not only intimidating for your customers, but the language being used is not great, especially when the owner made no effort to calm it down.”
