  “The food was so tasty, but I did let them know I am celiac before I even ordered a drink and food, they pointed out what they can do gluten free. I ordered the carbonara. Unfortunately I had immediate reaction, I know it was from this food or drink as I had not eaten through out the day as I knew I was going out for dinner. I have known I’m celiac for 17 years and I know how my body reacts, unfortunately it reacts within 5-10 minutes. This happened. I have informed the restaurant and they offered a voucher, obviously I will not be eating here again so declined”

  “We have just enjoyed another fantastic meal in this restaurant. The food is outstanding. I gave 4 stars for the atmosphere as we were the only people in there! Its a shame, I would thoroughly recommend the venue based on the food alone.”

  “Vrij leeg restaurant, weinig andere bezoekers en een weinig inspirerende inrichting met weinig sfeer zodoende. Bediening was beslist niet professioneel, maar onze bestelling kwam wel heel snel op tafel en de kwaliteit daarvan was ook zonder meer goed.”

  “Our experience was unfortunately very disappointing, particularly when it came to the customer service. We tried calling for over an hour to book a table, but nobody answered the phone. As we were nearby, we decided to walk down and see if a table was available. When we arrived, the first member of staff we spoke to was extremely unwelcoming. We explained that we had been trying to call for over an hour, but she simply shrugged her shoulders and refused us a table. I went back outside to tell the rest of our party that we wouldn’t be able to eat there. Thankfully, another member of staff came outside and offered us a table outside. However, when I looked back into the restaurant, I could see the original waitress shaking her head in apparent disapproval, which made us feel very unwelcome from the outset. Once seated, we were given menus and, after around 15 minutes, our drinks order was taken. We then waited approximately 25 minutes for the drinks to arrive before asking if we could place our food order. We ordered two lasagnes with side portions of chips, a tagliatelle and a platter. After another lengthy wait, some of the food eventually arrived. The two lasagnes and pasta were brought out, but we were given no cutlery. After sitting there for around 10 minutes, we eventually had to get up and ask for some ourselves. Three of us started eating, but the platter still hadn’t arrived. Once again, we had to ask a member of staff where it was. The response was along the lines of, “I don’t know, I didn’t take your order. Did you have anything else?” This came across as very unprofessional and showed a real lack of communication between staff. Around 10 minutes later, the platter finally arrived. During the meal, we ordered another round of drinks. After approximately 35 minutes, they still hadn’t arrived, so once again we had to chase the staff. The food itself was okay, but unfortunately nothing special enough to make up for the service we received. After finishing our meal, we paid the bill. Around five minutes later, another member of staff came outside and told us, “We’re closed and you need to leave.” We completely understand that businesses have closing times, and being asked to leave because the restaurant was closing wasn’t the issue. It was the abrupt and unfriendly way we were spoken to. Overall, the biggest problem was the customer service. From struggling to get through on the phone, the initial unwelcoming attitude, the excessive waits for drinks and food, having to repeatedly chase our order and ask for cutlery, through to the way we were spoken to at closing time, the whole experience left us feeling like an inconvenience rather than paying customers. Unfortunately, the customer service seriously needs addressing. A much friendlier attitude, better communication between staff and greater attention to customers would have made a significant difference to our experience.”

  “This superb resteraunt excels in all areas. The food was outstanding, came out very hot and great portion sizes. The menu has a wide variety of choices and they cater well for children. My wife is pregnant and they went out of their way to help as much as possible. The service really was excellent and a very friendly atmosphere. Rustic Italian vibes and tasted like a home cooked meal. 5/5.”
