About The Albion
On The Promenade in Carnforth, The Albion is a pub and restaurant that sits at the edge of the estuary, with views across to Grange-over-Sands. The 29-item menu runs from Prawn Cocktail and Loaded Nachos to simpler plates like Ham Salad and Tuna & Mayo, and Sunday lunch is served. Outdoor seating is fitted with heaters and glass screens for eating outside through more of the year. The pub is owned by Thwaites brewery, and a step-free entrance suits visitors with mobility needs. Dogs are welcome inside as well as in the outdoor area. A quiz night runs alongside the regular food service, and the pub opens daily. Reservations are recommended given the range of dining and events on offer.

Customer Review Summary
Food consistency is the recurring trade-off. Several describe greasy execution, from a squid starter called "terribly greasy" to a katsu curry reviewers felt was battered rather than breaded. Others report more serious misses: a tuna mayo baguette arriving in clingfilm with no plate, a steak pie one reviewer says needed "a chainsaw" to cut after an hour's wait, an overcooked Albion burger sent back, and one visit where a meal arrived short and a manager never came to the table. Despite this, several reviewers say they returned or plan to, particularly for the view and the Sunday roast.

“Friendly staff, great food, but limited on street parking to 1hr (though we were told that they never see a traffic warden). Lovely views across the bay whether inside or out. Spent £94 for 4 people, food and 1 drink each.”
- Oliver Williams
“Had to wait over an hour for food even though it wasn’t that busy on a Monday evening. When we eventually received it, would need a chainsaw to cut the steak pie, barely any gravy, veg was awful and mash was clearly frozen. Probably the worst meal I’ve ever had from a pub, only ate it because we had to wait so long and was starving, massively overpriced.”

“great place for a beer and view. the outside area was in need of a clean/ brush up.”

“Very tasty food! Fish and chips tasted like when I was kid, haven't found this quality in years. Great kids menu. 46 pounds for 2 adults and a child”

“Came here and ordered food, had to ask for my change (great start) food arrived and 1 meal short with 1 other meal dripping in grease, asked to speak to a manager and waited 15 mins and they couldn't even have the decency come out and speak to us, absolute joke. Would never eat here again.”
