About Sketch and Sip
Sketch and Sip is an art cafe at 3 Carlyle's Ct in Carlisle, where pottery painting and other art activities run alongside the cafe and cocktail bar. Coffee, cocktails and food are all served in the same space, so a painting session and a drink or meal can share one visit. The business is also listed as a breakfast and brunch restaurant, which adds morning options to the cocktail bar side. Dogs are welcome, so visitors can bring their pets along.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the coffee and the friendly staff, with the owners and servers described as helpful and kind. Several also praise the menu as varied and different from anywhere nearby, and one says the food always tastes delicious. The creative activities draw families and groups, and one parent notes teenagers were entertained by them instead of staring at their phones. Dogs being welcome earns a mention too, and one traveller found it a good lunch stop. The caveats are about the kitchen and guidance. One diner was told the food would take half an hour and it took far longer, then found the sandwich bacon extremely tough and the sausage undercooked. A first-time visitor waited at the table with no signs or instructions until going to the counter, found only Halloween-themed pottery to paint, and called the chai latte watery and not hot. Another reviewer found no gluten free options and got little help when asking, sitting for hours while friends ate.

“Mixed views following our first visit - great concept and the kids enjoyed however, service was poor, no guidance on arrival considering this was our first time visiting. No clear signs with any instructions. Waited at the table for a while before we had to go to the counter to ask for guidance. Poor selection of pottery to paint, all Halloween themed, would have been nice to have some non-seasonal things to choose from too. The chai latte was watery and not hot. Despite this we would return and hope the poor service was due to how busy it was”

“Nice enough place with lots of activities. However no options for gluten free and when asked wasn’t very helpful at all. Attended with some friends and had to sit for several hours watching everyone eat. Wasnt a good experience.”
