Customer Review Summary
Reviewers come mainly for the home made cakes. The carrot cake is called a really good one, and a wedding cake's white chocolate and raspberry layer drew praise. Brownies, blondies and flapjack also come up, and choosing among the cakes is the hardest part for one visitor. Coffee follows close behind. One group called their iced latte, iced americano and babychino superb, and a customer of around 14 years praises the super coffee. Breakfast earns a recommendation from one reviewer, who describes scrambled eggs on toast and a cooked breakfast that arrived hot. The sandwiches are called delicious and generous by one diner and satisfying if not special by another. Friendly, efficient table service comes up repeatedly. The main complaint is noise: one diner who reserved and asked for a quiet table was seated by the kitchen and found it a bit noisy. Others describe a small dine-in space with a few outdoor seats, kept buzzing by regulars.

“Thank you so much Maddie for creating the perfect wedding cake for my daughter. It was beautiful and just what we wanted. We loved that you offered cake tasting and spent time taking through everything with us. Nothing was too much trouble and you made everything so easy. The cookies and cupcakes were perfect and everyone said the cakes not only looked great but tasted great too. Each layer was amazing; however, the white chocolate and raspberry layer was just beautiful. Thanks again for everything. Looking forward to visiting you at mama feels good and trying more of your fabulous cakes. Xx”

“A cracking breakfast, perfectly cooked, timely serving (so still hot when received!), in a lovely tea-room and a very fair price. A real find, seek it out and see for yourself. BUT, there is a downside... As a newly "qualified" Type II diabetic, the range of cakes, oozing deliciousness in big doses was too much. I HAD to buy some flapjack and thankfully was able to disperse to a friend that can eat it and they loved it more than me. I just wish, for research, I'd bought one of each of the other cakes - what a way to go!”

“Made a reservation. Asked for a quiet table but was placed by the kitchen. A bit noisy but the building has character there is free parking and the staff are very friendly and efficient. Not overly expensive and a very wide selection of home made cakes and other sweet treats. A nice enough place for a coffee with friends.”
