Customer Review Summary
Coffee is what reviewers return for, described repeatedly as great, consistently good and made perfectly, with one calling it perfectly extracted and another praising a quick, well-roasted cup. Toasties come close behind, with the Reuben's salt beef, sauerkraut and pickles and the Harissa toastie both singled out as tasty. Pastries and baked goods round out the praise, including a Cardamom and Pistachio bun, a banoffee pastry made as a special, a basque cheesecake, and banana bread, with one noting a weekend pastry selection. Staff are called friendly and welcoming, and one regular says they already know the order. The main trade-offs are space and one drink: the cafe is small with limited seating and was always full for a couple of visitors, though seats outside helped. One reviewer found the matcha so so, with too much milk. Several say they would come back, and one was acknowledged at the door despite a packed room.

“Fantastic specialty coffee spot! The coffee was exceptional—perfectly extracted with amazing flavor depth. Super friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, and high-quality pastries/bites to go with it. A local gem!”

“Without doubt the bestest ever place for coffee in Canterbury. If you know about coffee and know what’s good this is the place to go . If you drink in any shitty coffee chain go here and get educated . If you are hungry try the delicious cakes. But whatever you do go here and have seriously and consistently good coffee - if you didn’t already know I’m very fussy and annoying about coffee so this should tell you all you need to know , independent coffee shops need to get more appreciation , start that journey here ☕️”

“Super nice place, very calm, nice coffee. If you want a strong coffee, you can go here. The matcha is so so, too much milk for me.”
