  “If only i could give zero stars! We have eaten here quite regularly and have NEVER been turned away? When we arrived we both commented how quiet the carpark was for a saturday evening. We walked into the lobby area to wait to be seen for a table. One section of the restaurant was cordoned off as if it was closed for the rest of the day, and the rest of the restaurant had about 10 people max. Very quiet, very empty. To our stick and surprise we were told they were fully booked!?!? And we could only eat in the bar? We are aware that all Beefeater 'restaurants ' are closing so you would think that they would be happy for the business but its lije they have given up! Clearly they wanted a quiet evening and a table of 2 people was clearly too much to ask for! So we enjoyed a lovely meal at the OK diner instead, which, to be fair was nicer than any meal we have had here anyway, so, Thank you for turning us away! We shall not be returning to Longford House now, so Farewell! Lol”

  “Service and good were great. Food was hot and we all got something we liked. Sorry to hear it's closing to the general public and will only be available for hotel guests.”

  “As a couple visiting our Grandchildren local to this Beefeater we decided to stop off and have some dinner, how fortunate we were. The food was fantastic, but most importantly I need to stress on the amazing service we were given from our waitress on the night. Her name was Jayne and she was just the nicest person you could hope to meet. There was nothing that was too much trouble for Jayne to sort out for us, my wife and I are fussy eaters so certain items that came with our meals were not required, no problem at all, Jayne took care of it for us. If you are lucky enough to have Jayne as your waitress then you have already won! Thanks Jayne”

  “A tales of two halves. Today we went for breakfast. Lively food great value. We saw 2 staff serving. The restaurant was still quite full at this point 1 lady was really good the other was awful. I went get a coffee for my friend and asked the one lady if she had any decaf coffee for my friend. she handed me a sachet saying “we finish at half past” and then In front of me she then switched off the machines including hot water and walked away . So I now have a sachet and no water to make a coffee. I could not believe she would be that petty I would have preferred her to say it was too late . I asked the other lady who immediately switched it back on for me to access hot tater. I don’t have an issue with someone telling me it’s too late for a drink but it was the way she spoke to me and then switching off the water so I couldn’t use the sachet. others had been accessing the coffee machine right up to this point. it was just my friend who wanted decaf. Another customer came up to our table and said the same lady had been rude to her. (She has overheard what had been said to me). Thank you to the other lovely member of staff who tried to make it right 🌈🌈”

  “I was staying at the premier inn and the receptionist recommended visiting the Beefeater. I was greeted by Jayne, who took my order for food and drink. There wait time was not worth noting..... the drink turned up right away and the food was very quick too. I had a rump steak..... I was absolutely amazing... nothing left on the plate. Very good value. I would certainly recommend if you're nearby.”

  “We went to The Longhorn in Cannock on a spur of the moment decision tonight and it was a really good decision. We were able to get a table even at 8.30pm and we're not rushed to order even though the kitchen closed at 9pm. Our server Jayne was really helpful with our choice of food and was very receptive when there was an item missing from our order but was shocked to hear that the item was no longer available. When we asked why that was we were even more surprised to hear that Beefeater and Brewers Fayre were closing for good! How can that be?? Both a national institute of Great Britain is now ending come August 2026!!! How and why is this the case?!? What on earth are Whitbread thinking of by doing this? Our food was lovely, great service and nice place to have a midweek sneaky treat.”

  “Service by Jayne was lovely , such a friendly kind lady who was very helpful with deciding which food choice to choose from. Amazing lady! Food was excellent too we really enjoyed our first time being there.”
