About The Artyst
The Artyst operates as a cafe, bar and event venue on Chesterton Road, set in a long, gallery-style interior that doubles as a working space during the day and a bar by night. The room is filled with unusual, eclectic decor, including the bathroom, and curated background music runs alongside shelves of music magazines guests can browse. By morning it pulls a breakfast crowd that books ahead for group stops, with almond croissants ordered in for the table, and the bar team makes custom iced teas to order. The format carries a European cafe feel, and the same room hosts events in the evenings. Dogs are welcome throughout. The Artyst is also the bar of Chesterton Road, working as a day-to-night anchor for that stretch.

“Had an amazing day working from this cafe! Nice long space with plenty of seats to work from + free WiFi. Host is super friendly and welcoming. Chatted with him a bit about Cambridge and also made me a custom ice tea as it was so hot that day!”

“Impeccable drinks, great summer vibes. Students - this is worth the trek out of town.”

“The smoothie was tasted under the curious gaze of the glass and served in a curious glass; it wasn’t clear whether it would satisfy their curiosity you’d have to drink it to find out but it tasted wonderful. A café filled with all sorts of bits and bobs, playing music so lovely you’d want to add it to Shazam. There were music magazines; one of the songs playing was ‘Just A Boy’ by Angus and Julia Stone. It gave me new ideas for my hobbies and served as a source of inspiration. It has a unique style and a sense of selfrespect. I want to scribble something down, but the devil has taken my inspiration for now, whilst the angels continue to pray for its return.”

“Nice coffee, nice people, good food and good vibes.”
