  “Not great to be honest. Had tons of amazing food in Bristol but this spot was definitely way overhyped. Food was ok and nothing more than that...definitely not living up to expectations. Place opens up at 8am, we got there at 9ish and with only two customers in front of us it took nearly half an hour to receive two rather bland sambos. Several customers gave up and left as staff were busy with whatever while order slips for those who ordered just sat there...4/10”

  “If you’re after a cracking sandwich and top tier Bristolian hospitality, definitely give these Sandwich Sandwich a try! The team are all so lovely, friendly and down to earth. The sandwiches are spot on — packed full of fresh ingredients and delicious. You can tell they care about the whole experience. Highly recommend popping in for lunch. You won’t be disappointed! 🥪”

  “Came here a year or so ago and thought it was amazing. Went back and was still great but not as great as I remember. Sandwiches are good size, you really cant complain and the Scotch egg is top notch. Definitely one for sandwich lovers and well worth trying the menu, however, the southern fried is #1 for a reason.”

  “Went at 14:00 ish so not all menu was available but got the southern fried chicken and chicken kiev. The wait time was quite a lot (not big que but seems a lot of online order?) the staff was lovely and they started cleaning the tables but overall the table area inside and outside was quite dirty. The toilet also felt like it needs cleaning as well. The sandwich was amazing!!!! Beautiful and very big volume!!”

  “Absolutely fantastic – a must‑try! Stopped by for a bite and ordered the chicken Kiev sandwich, and wow… it was truly amazing. Packed with flavour, perfectly cooked, and so big it was almost hard to eat — in the best possible way. Properly generous and absolutely delicious. The staff were brilliant too: friendly, welcoming, and super helpful from the moment I walked in. It’s the kind of place that leaves a great impression straight away. A definite recommendation to anyone in the area. If you’re nearby, don’t miss it.”

  “Lovely restaurant and delicious sandwiches! Popped in here on a recommendation and so glad we did as it was so lovely! Food was spectacular, wait was a little long but not the worst. Can't wait to come back. The brisket was tender and the mac and cheese was phenomenal. 10/10.”

  “Was waiting for ages to try Sandwich Sandwich and finally we got the chance to be nearby while they were open. There are lots of choices to choose from and the ingredients are definitely fresh. Now, the staff attitude definitely isn’t right. The person at the till clearly hated being there. I am not good with ordering when it comes to so many choices, so I literally showed her a photo from another google review, she said yes! That the BBQ fillet and pressed the buttons on her screen. My order is ready! I open up my food and it’s a burger! I then go back and ask her, while pointing to the same photo I showed her 6 minutes prior “Isn’t this what I showed you?” And she says “yes”so I asked her, how come mine is a burger and this is a sandwich cut in half?(In the photo) She then answered “Yes, you had to say Flatbread”. How Do I have to say the magic word “flatbread” when I literally showed you a sandwich and I said “this please”. I wasn’t about to ruin my day with her attitude so I walked out smiling at that comment from her. Lastly, they have 3 benches outside! It was a Beautiful day to sit outside! Sadly, they were covered in bird poo! I can now say I have been here, and also will never be back. Thank you Sandwich Sandwich.”

  “Served by a lovely lady this morning who not only served our hungry family of four, but also gave our equally hungry black lab a little treat (thank you!). The sandwiches were expertly prepared, packed solidly full and tasted out of this world. By far the best sandwiches I've eaten and I can heartily recommend the Southern Fried Chicken special!”

  “Biggest sandwich I ve seen in my life. It was absolutely delicious, filled with ingredients I wouldnt imagine they match. I had the Tandoori sandwich with mint sauce. I also tried the scotch egg which unfortunately I did not really like. The meatball was not as seasoned as I expected. Otherwise this place is perfect for a breakfast while visiting Bristol.”
