About Pimms Pizza
Pimms Pizza is a pizza delivery business at 257 North St in Bristol, now in its 24th year at that address. The dough is made fresh each day from the owners' own recipe, and the crusts are bready and pillowy rather than sourdough-style. The menu includes Meat Feast and Vegetarian pizzas, with loaded potato skins as a side. Gluten free bases, vegan cheese and gluten free sides are available for those who need them, and a cheese crust can be added to a pizza. Garlic bread and garlic butter are also offered. Lager, cider and wine can arrive at the door alongside any pizza order, under a Challenge 25 policy. The kitchen is open evenings only, Tuesday to Sunday, and closed on Mondays.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the pillowy, bready crusts and fresh dough made in-house, a welcome change from the sourdough bases found elsewhere in Bristol. Loaded potato skins and garlic bread are the sides singled out, and several mention gluten free bases and vegan cheese handled well. Large group orders for a party and an office collect without a mistake, and delivery drivers are described as friendly, with one order arriving quicker than estimated. Value is a repeated theme, with reviewers favouring it over chains and trendy places. The complaints are specific. One longtime customer says a family meal deal arrived with sparse pepperoni, ham and mushroom and a single tiny dip. Another says the Meat Feast could have more meat, with unmelted cheese and soggy bottoms. A third says the website did not apply the collection offer, and the manager declined a refund of the difference because the order was paid by card. One reviewer's party of street artists now calls itself the Pimms Pizza Crew.

“My main criticism is about the ordering system on their website. It didn't apply the discounted collection price, so we ended up paying £31.80 for two 12-inch pizzas for collection instead of £20, despite their advertised offer of £10 for any 12-inch pizza. When I collected the order, I pointed out that we had been overcharged. However, the manager explained that instead of clicking the large red "Order Now" button on the homepage, I should have gone to the menu and selected "Meal Deals" to get the correct price. He then refused to refund the difference, saying that because I had paid by card rather than cash. I am annoyed that we had to pay almost £12 extra simply because their website doesn't automatically apply the collection offer when you choose collection. Instead, customers have to follow a less obvious and more convoluted ordering process to receive the advertised price. We won't be ordering from them again. We ended up paying much more than we normally would, and the quality of the food didn't justify the higher price.”

“This was my first time ordering gluten free pizza from Pimm's Pizza and I was really impressed. It arrived piping hot and within 30 mins - most importantly it was all really tasty (including the sides - good selection for those who require gluten free). Would not hesitate to order again - directly as you are a local business. I can't upload the photos as I now have empty boxes! Lol! Keep up the great work”

“Lovely and fast customer service, banging pizzas, fresh dough made in-house, flavoursome, great value for money, and they’re always happy to oblige requests. I often need a break from stodgy sourdough pizzas (which are more crust than anything else) and these guys are my go-to every time. P.S. Try mixing up their garlic butter and tomato pizza sauce for an indulgent treat. Really happy to support local businesses like these as they’re far superior to your run of the mill chains.”

“Pimms Pizza supplied 20 various pizzas to our party and they were so good. Everyone loved them. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a few with gluten free bases, some with vegan cheese, and a variety of pizzas from their extensive menu. All were excellent. The whole party of people would definitely highly recommended them. Very tasty, reasonably priced and very kind and approachable service.”

“We've been a loyal Pimms Pizza fan for over 15 years, with many of my old past reviews being practical love letters to this establishment. The service has always been warm, the food consistently delicious, and the pizzas! Usually a glorious, cheese smothered masterpiece. Sadly as of late, toppings have been becoming an endangered species at Pimms. This week’s “Medium family meal deal” was more like a budget minimalist art project. Two pizzas, both with 4 toppings each, or so we thought. I ordered 3 lots of pepperoni plus extra cheese, expecting a meat fiesta. What I got, however was the same number of pepperoni slices as you’d find on a single topping pizza… Maybe they were just very well hidden? (Spoiler: They weren’t...) The second pizza was meant to be a ham & mushroom extravaganza, double portions of both. Instead, it looked like someone had merely waved an individual sliced mushroom in the general direction and barely shook 1 slice of diced ham accross it before cooking it. As for the sides, they were fine… But one tiny dip for a family meal deal? Come on now. That’s not a dip, that’s a teaser. I’ll always praise Pimms for their friendly service and genuinely tasty pizzas. But toppings aren’t an optional extra, a portion should be a portion. Otherwise, what’s the point of offering 4 toppings if your skimping on them. Please don’t slip into stingy corporate ways. We support independents like you because we want to. Don’t give us a reason to head to the big chains where, ironically, the toppings are actually measured properly every time. We still love you, Pimms but this one’s a 3 star for now. Let’s hope the next one is fully loaded, not half-hearted.”
