  “Delicious food, great choices and excellent service. We arrived and were greeted and taken to a table. It was nice that it didn't feel crammed in. Staff were attentive enough but not over powering. The four of us enjoyed all our food and we were pleasantly surprised by the total when the bill came.”

  “We stayed in the disability adapted room and found it perfect for our needs, warm, spacious easily accessible, wetroom with safety bars and fold down shower seat. Small seating area in bedroom. Beds very comfortable, Large television, tea/coffee facilities and dressing table. Key card to access ground floor room. Plenty of parking. We booked in to the restaurant on arrival and had our evening meal, Great menu, Food was hot, tasty and big portions. Very reasonably priced and took advantage of the 2 course menu. We were looked after by a staff member called Katie, Katie booked us in at reception on arrival situated in the pub itself, minimal fuss and very pleasant to deal with throughout out stay. Katie was an enthusiastic, polite, friendly and We noted exactly the same with several other guests. Definitely a credit to the Lobsterpot as was the other staff members we interacted with during our visit. The Hotel/Pub is a few minutes car drive from the seafront also regular bus service passes by and would be a steady 15 walk on foot. Price of our stay was one of the lowest for a Friday night. Other guests were a mixture of familys, couples and same sex groups but as I said no noise disturbance. All in all a very enjoyable stay and definitely will be booking in the near future.”

  “The lady behind the bar was lovely. Really friendly but she was on her own. At a busy period this was not good enough and unfair to her. We ordered food, firstly my son’s food was much much later in arriving than ours - why this happened I don’t know when surely children’s meals should be the priority for a family prefer. Secondly it didn’t arrive complete, items were missing and only after chasing it up twice did he remaining items arrive. At the point we had all finished. On a second note my chips were cold and not great. Judging by the response time there was no point in complaining. Needless to say I don’t think we will be returning.”

  “Unfortunately we had a very poor experience at the Lobster Pot, Bridlington. We arrived at 6pm as a party of 2 adults and one child and ordered 2 main meals and a children's meal with a drinks. The outside area was lovely to sit in but it took almost 30minutes for our meals to arrive, my daughters macaroni and cheese was such a small portion that it just didnt fill her. I appreciate childrens meals are smaller than mains but we were shocked at how small, it was more suited to a small toddler of 2-3 rather than my 6 year old who ate it within 4 fork fulls. The adult portions were also small and not worth the £17.79 price point. I ordered my daughter a side dish of fries as she was still hungry and ended up cancelling this and requesting a refund when it still hadnt arrived 40 minutes later. Instead we stopped off at McDonalds on the way home and got her some fries and a McFlurry within a few minutes.”

  “Stayed one night whilst on a cycling trip. Can put bikes in your room. Staff friendly and helpful. Room nice and clean. Clean bedding and towels, plenty of tea, coffee and milk in room. We paid for breakfast which was tasty and good value. Would recommend this place. Good value too”

  “The chips are nice and fluffy on the inside. The peas were dry but the fish was honestly amazing! It was the best fish I think I’ve ever had. The staff were nice, it took over the time for the food but it was worth it. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing. Lobster pot is recommended!”

  “Disgusting food! And rip off prices. I have never written a complaint before, but I feel compelled to write one to warn of the disgusting over priced of ( £16.99 ) for adults Sunday dinner. It wasn't very full when we were there so not busy but we were First told there would be no roast potatoes only mash, a bit of a shame but never mind. Then the meals came and the Yorkshire puddings were flat as a pancake and absolutely tasteless!! There was a tiny bit of gravy on each plate. The kids beef was a small slice of beef full of fat and gristle. The chicken schnitzel was rock hard and burnt. it really was that bad! How they can get away with serving the food and at those prices I'll never know! We all left hungry and very disappointed!”

  “We've been to the Lobster Pot a few times now and given it expectant grace due to certain events and conditions at the time, but our visit this time left us disappointed to the point of leaving this review. Service was good to begin with, but there's something missing that causes staff confusion when it comes to table service: we were seated quickly, but not offered drinks so we decided to use the QR table ordering instead. We then got visited twice by different members of staff asking if we're ready to order, which isn't anything to complain about, but it is still a mild annoyance. Also, the chairs felt like square toilet seats as your rear sinks down into them. We moved to a booth instead, which was much more comfortable; however, they have been left to deteriorate. We both ordered the steak and malbec pie, which was initially very tasty, but quickly became overcome by flavour fatigue for some reason, leaving a rich but empty taste. With regards to the pie, I felt like it could be open to false advertising claims as it contained a single piece of beef and the rest was gravy, in both pies. The carrots and greens medley were room temperature and warmed only by the gravy. The chips were delicious, and the mash was very nice too, but they were not good enough to rescue the other parts of the bad experience. Like I said initially, we have been previously and had similar issues with cold sides and off tasting mash that looked a day old. We were compensated at the time, and left with high hopes for future visits, which hasn't been met. Somebody in the kitchen doesn't care.”
