Quick info
About Legend's
Legend's is a Chinese restaurant on Bank Street in Bridgnorth, set a short walk from the town centre and run by owners who stay involved in day-to-day service. The menu covers Chinese and Cantonese dishes, with sit-down meals and takeaways both handled in the same kitchen, and tea is poured at the table alongside starters such as prawn crackers. Chips appear on the menu alongside the Chinese classics, reflecting the kind of mix regulars come back for, and complimentary extras like dessert have been noted by diners. Counter ordering covers collection, while the dining room takes walk-ins for meals in the evenings. The team keeps the room running with a personal touch that long-time customers recognise, and the same kitchen plates up both the dine-in orders and the takeaway bags that leave the door.

Customer Review Summary
Legends draws most praise for its warm, family-style hospitality and freshly prepared, generously portioned Chinese dishes, with several reviewers singling out the Cantonese food and the complimentary tea, prawn crackers, and dessert. A small number of recent visits, however, tell a different story: diners describe long waits, rude or inattentive servers, charged tap water, and an inedible order. Regulars say they keep coming back.

“Short and sweet - foot was great, cooked very well, with good authentic flavours. Chips were clearly frozen so will ignore that. However...the service was by far the absolute WORST I have experienced in any restaurant. Sat for nearly 2 and a half hours for a couple. Took 20 minutes to get a drink (poured out of a bottle off the side and topped with ice). Getting the bill? Had to wait for the lady to go to Beijing and back. Had a table of four next to us complaining about the service as well. Literally Saturday night, super busy, with 2 young girls on. Asked for the bill ....20 minutes late the same girl is stood behind the bar pouring herself a drink. Honestly baffled by the entire experience. Atmosphere is "meh"....I suppose this place is probably used more for a takeaway because loads were collecting orders. Definitely 100% won't ever recommend visiting if having a sit down meal.”

“Found the order inedible the replacement was ok. The owner can get quite angry”

“When asked for some tap water to drink, we were told that there would be a charge for the glasses! Whilst this is technically within the law, we felt this was a very mean and petty action. As a result, we left the premises and ate elsewhere instead.”

“Such a shame - we visited last year and the meal and staff were lovely - went in tonight and the young girl serving us was nothing short of rude - putting the menus down, never once acknowledging us - we all said thank you she just and gave nothing back - she didn’t want to be there - it was so bad we just ended up paying for drinks and leaving which we have never done before -honestly if you can’t raise a smile you shouldn’t be in customer service”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely Outstanding Dining Experience! During my entire stay in the UK, this is honestly the only Chinese restaurant that has made me feel truly welcome from the moment I walked through the door. I have always been a little reluctant to try Chinese restaurants because of some disappointing customer service experiences in the past. However, Legends completely changed my perspective. The staff treated us like family, making us feel comfortable, valued, and genuinely cared for throughout our visit. The restaurant itself is spotless, beautifully maintained, and has a warm, inviting atmosphere. The customer service is simply exceptional—friendly, attentive, and professional without being overwhelming. As for the food, it was absolutely fantastic. Every dish was freshly prepared, full of flavour, and generously portioned. The amount of food we received was more than enough for two people and offered excellent value for money. The tea was one of the best I've had, and we were pleasantly surprised when they provided complimentary prawn crackers and dessert, which made the experience even more special. What stood out most was not just the quality of the food, but the kindness and hospitality shown by the staff. In today's world, great food can be found in many places, but genuine warmth and outstanding service are much harder to find. Legends has earned a customer for life. If you're looking for delicious food, generous portions, excellent value, a clean and comfortable environment, and customer service that makes you feel like part of the family, then this is the place to visit. Thank you, Legends, for such a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly Recommended!”
