Customer Review Summary
Praise centers on the salt and pepper wings, which one regular says they have never beaten anywhere else. The vermicelli, which another describes as having the perfect spiciness, comes close behind, along with the curries, kung po dishes and crispy spring rolls. Several reviewers also single out really nice staff and owners, good prices and large portions, and one says they drive over from Brighouse. The complaints are just as concrete and come from a sizeable share of the reviews. Several found the noodles bland and watery, with chow mein that looked like it had come out of a bucket of water, or was half hard and clumped together. Others report slimy chicken, a lemon chicken one diner called vile, a sweet and sour chicken with only a few small pieces of meat, and spare ribs that were undercooked. One reviewer who phoned to complain says the only offer was a discount on the next order.

“This was our first visit to Wokever as we usually use the one behind Wyke green. My wife's foo yong was fair and the potion size was good. My lemon chicken looked alright and the potion size was good but I couldn't eat it. It was vile. Even the chips were rubbish. I might have picked the wrong dishes but the one I had was a Wokever chef's special. If that is one of their specials, they can keep them.”
